Vehicle Detail

1963 IH Scout 80 pickup cab for sale. Bought it a couple years ago to play with and restore. Worked on it for awhile and now it's just been sitting. Life has got in the way so time to move on to someone else. It runs and drives...Brakes are not good. I put new drums and pads on it when I got it, but it needs new master cyl. I drove it to my buddies cabin about an hour away about a year ago, and the brakes are unsafe. I would not let anybody drive it without having the brakes fixed. I have the original 1963 clear title. I bought it from Virginia where they don't title old vehicles. I took the title to the BMV here and they said it was gtg. It was sanded and painted just before I bought it. It looks great from 50-100 ft away. Up closer you can see where bondo was painted over small dents etc.. and rust in the bed floor was painted over. I was also told it had a new clutch installed right before I bought it. The engine runs OK. I think it needs the carb rebuilt/cleaned it fouls plugs. Engine surprisingly doesn't leak oil or anything. It's a 152ci 4cyl. All the fluids have been changed. 4x4 works both high and low. Has dual tanks only drivers side is hooked up ath the present time. Tires are old, but I have never had to add air to them. It came with some extra parts...it has an extra Front axle, the full travel top pretty rough but salvageable, and an original bucket drivers seat. Some of the pics are older when I last had it outside. It has been kept in the garage ever since I brought it home. It also has a new steering wheel that isnt in the pics. It's sold as is. Pick up here only. I would be glad to help the new buyer load it here at the house. Will need to be trailered. Feel free to ask questions. Extra front not rear axle...On Oct-31-12 at 12:26:01 PDT, seller added the following information: More details to try and answer all the questions I have been recieving. 1st..Im not going to end the auction early. There is no buy it now option...Please quit asking The rockers have rusted out and new metal put on. I have the reproduction inside and outside rocker metal pieces included in the sale also like $200. All the body work was done kinda shotty. Like I said earlier it looks good from a distance but when you get up to it you can see bondo and dents. It looks good enough to me that I planned on leaving the body as is and getting it running before making it look better. I'm not a mechanic...not positive what's wrong with the engine....I'm not going to fix it or the brakes before the sale ends. I would think that its the carb or ignition system causing the problems. Please ask any questions before you bid...I'll do my best to answer all of them. Most of the pics are older from when I took it to a couple truck shows for those who saw it there. It's still the same just dusty from sitting in the barn. ThanksOn Nov-03-12 at 10:01:20 PDT, seller added the following information: I just cancelled a guys bid. I AM NOT GOING TO END THE AUCTION EARLY! He bid up to 3000 then messaged me to end it early and he would come pay $2500 cash today if I ended it early. Bid what you're willing to pay. No more zero feedback bidders unless you speak with me first...I don't want to play games with people.
