Up for sale is my beloved 1998 Ford F-150 stepside (6.5 foot short bed) truck. I hate selling this truck. But I am now in need of a crew cab truck for work purposes. I am the second owner of this 2 wheel drive truck, that for its age, is still one of the sharpest trucks on the road. It is a nice truck and has just less than 128,000 miles (that's just a hair over 9,000 miles a year). Since I work from home... I'm not putting very many miles on this truck. But when out on the road... it runs like a top, clean and straight. It has a 4.6 litre V8 engine that runs very strong and smooth. When running at a comfortable highway speed... I get close to 20 miles per gallon. Of course a little less in the city. The air conditioning blows strong and cold. Everything works as it should.A few years ago I put in lariat leather seats. Leather seats definitely did not come standard in the regular F150. I just happen to think that the truck looks MUCH more sharp with these seats. They are also MUCH easier to keep clean than the standard cloth seats. This truck has NEVER been a "work truck". It's never gone on a more serious road other than gravel. And even though it has a full tow package... I've never hauled anything serious with this truck or put any undue strain on the engine. The heaviest thing that has ever been in the back was a 600 lb motorcycle on 5 separate occasions. This is a sharp truck with glossy paint and 90% tread life left on the BF Goodrich tires.Other features and overview:- Ford F-150 STX- Rare Step side (only 10% of these were made with stepsides. Makes the truck look much sharper).- 4.6 litre V8- Leather seats (power driver side)- Electric windows / locks- Towing package- Newer BF Goodrich tires (90% tread left)- Alloy wheels- Bedliner- Runs greatImperfections: It is a used truck... so the truck is obviously not perfect. It does show some rock chips underneath the front grill and some minor scuff marks on the paint that don't show up on film and are barely noticeable. There is also a scrape right underneath the step side on the driver's side... where I got a little too close to a yellow pole in a tight garage (see picture). Lastly the padding on the driver's seat directly underneath your left hip... I think could benefit from additional padding. It just has some additional wear in that area.The price? If you're looking for just a regular work truck... this is definitely NOT the truck for you. If you're looking for a truck that you can work with AND still have a great looking truck to take out on the town at night... than you probably won't find a better looking and all around great and cared for truck for the model, year and money.
