1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, (2) door hard top, no engine, no transmission, needs total restoration, purchased (3) years ago, not able to finish, found in a barn, some one had started to take it a part, starting a restoration attempt.The body was off the frame on a skid next to the frame. The body was put back on the frame for transportation, so it will need a body mount kit. Front clip with inner fenders, hood and fenders are all in fair condition, all will need work. Some rust in floor board, small patch panel may be needed, a couple of small holes in the rocker panels, one side may need replacement. Trunk floor, spare tire well area, and rear quarter are in very good solid condition. Interior is all there, original front and rear seats, door panels and rear quarter panels, all will need to be restored. Frame seems very solid except for one front bumper support arm, it is crumbled, a good used one will come with the car. Winshield and rear flat glass quarter window glass will need replacement. During the last few years I have purchased the following parts that will go with the car, used original steering wheel with chrome horn ring, new door lock kit, new door handle kit, new tail light lens, new small block engine mounting kit with motor mounts, brackets and hardware, new tubular transmission cross member and mounting kit with brackets and hardware, nice used chrome clock bezel with screen, nice used chrome speedometer bezel.
