I have for sale a very nice 1957 Buick Super 2-door hardtop. The car is still in its original colors of Antique Ivory exterior and Rust cloth and Ivory Cordaveen. The interior is the original and correct pattern. The 364 V-8 runs well. There is a minor oil drip. The automatic transmission shifts well. The car runs and drives nice and smooth and brakes well. The body and paint in the car is in great shape. The chrome is nice and shines brightly. The stainless is good and straight also. The rear taillight housings need rechromed and lenses and bulbs installed. As far as I know the rear lights will work with new bulbs. As far as I know the only parts needed are these taillight items. The glass is clear and in great shape. All windows work fine. The doors, hood, and trunk open and shut solidly and tightly. The moldings are correct and in good shape. Weatherstripping is decent. The tires are correct wide whitewalls and have plenty of tread and look great. The original hubcaps are nice. Good brakes and steering. The ride is smooth and steady. The engine compartment is clean and the motor sounds strong and smooth. The undercarriage is solid. The interior is also in great condition. Correct colors and pattern (#581). Paint is the correct code RR. The seats are nice and comfortable. The door panels are nice too. Headliner and carpet in great shape. Nice dash with clear guages. Nice steering wheel and horn ring. The 2 small orange-colored pieces right under the door/vent wing windows seem to be not sticking well. Overall, the interior is in quite exceptional conditionand goes well with the Antique Ivory exterior. The engine compartment is fairly clean and free of excess grease and dirt. All seems correct under the hood. The trunk is in great shape with a new mat. Three places were patch in the trunk by a previous owner. These items are working: horn, windows, guages(temp,oil pressure,amps,speedo,odometer,and trip), heater and defrost blower, radio works quite well and clear through original speaker, e-brake and its "on" light, door locks, glovebox light, headlights and highbeams with their red dot dash indicator. These do not work: fuel guage, clock, dome, left front turn signal, (need rear taillight bulbs and lenses). These 1957 Buicks are getting harder to find in great condition, especially the 2-door hardtops. This '57 Super is virtually ready to go. People I drive by and talk with really like the unusual color combination of the interior and exterior. This is quite an impressive car going down the road or just sitting still. Plenty of room for 5 or even 6 passengers to enjoy the smooth ride. Please feel free to ask any questions. Personal inspection is encouraged. Sold in as-is condition.
