DOCUMENTED with the MARTI Report - factory S-code “big block” 390 - factory GT “performance package” - factory top loader 4-Speed beautiful NIGHTMIST Blue Nightmist blue is one of the hardest to find and most sought after ‘67 Mustang colors. Of the 474,121 Mustangs built in 1967, Ford built ONLY 2,082 Nightmist Blue fastbacks with the Blue interior, AND this one came from the factory with the the HOLY GRAIL combination of performance options …. the S-code “big block” 390 with a 4-speed top-loader, 9 inch traction Lock differential and GT package !! Options make a difference in the value of these cars Naturally, the most valuable of all 67 factory built Mustangs is the fastback with the 390 big block and the GT performance package. This car came from the factory with both of these options as well as other very desirable options. During the restoration, the former owner added additional factory period correct “luxury options” making this a super high option car. This is NOT your typical eBay Mustang … this is a very special fastback, the type that is sought after & coveted “worldwide”. The “1967 390 GT fastbacks” rarely come up for sale in this condition with these options. It was RARE when built 44 years ago and it is ultra rare today. I specialize in the UNCOMMON, hard to find, high option, high quality cars. I buy very few cars as most simply do not meet my standards. If you have been waiting for a show/driver with killer options and strong visual appeal, you will love this car. History / Restoration / condition I purchased this car from the former owner of 20 years. The car was restored during his ownership in 1996. From that time until now, the former owner fussed over and kept this car as close to show room new condition as possible. It was kept indoors and under a car cover unless being driven for pleasure on a sunny day. It remains in close to show room new condition. A thick folder of receipts, records, and a photo album come with the car documenting the restoration and repairs. Additionally, a title search documenting the owner history back to 1970 is included. Mechanical ….. please take time to watch the TEST DRIVE video above. It starts immediately, runs very smooth and pulls STRONG through all four gears. It has very good power, but it is NOT overbuilt. It has a factory stock look and feel. It has no bad habits, does NOT run hot and it idles beautifully. It has been updated with PETRONIX electronic ignition for reliability. It has both POWER Steering & POWER Disc Brakes making it a joy to drive. The sound coming from the GT tips is pure American muscle. Paint The paint is slick with that high gloss, deep wet look. This is not a concurs restoration (nor is it priced as one), it is however a very high quality show/driver restoration. There are a few minor flaws, the type that you would see on any “show/driver”, however, these flaws in no way detract from the overall excellent presentation – see above photos of most notable flaws. The body panels are all very straight and the fit and alignment is above average for the 67 Mustang. There is no visible rust/rot on the car. There are NO visible rust blisters or bubbles in the paint. Any rust the car had was cut out and replaced with new metal. Undercarriage The undercarriage was repaired as needed and is clean and free of thick undercoating. However, the undercarriage was NOT refinished to be shown with mirrors. See photos. Interior The interior is simply stunning. The brushed aluminum accents are flawless. The steering wheel, console and hard plastic are all show quality. The seats still look new with only one minor flaw noted in the pictures. Engine Bay The engine bay is very well detailed and shows very well. It has that factory correct look and includes the hard to find correct Air Cleaner and Valve Covers. Sound System The sound system is EXCELLENT. It consists of the correct replacement “updated radio”, which is iPod compatible, quality speakers, amplifier and subwoofer. Speakers have been mounted in the rear trunk access panel. If you prefer “box speakers” sitting on the rear deck, the rear panel is reproduced and readily available as a replacement. Alarm The car is equipped with a quality working alarm system (Viper Alarm). The system includes remote working key fob. Sequential Blinkers The car is equipped with the very cool “sequential” blinkers. This is an aftermarket item that replicates the blinkers on the Cougars and Thunderbirds of the period. I can convert this back to stock “single” blink if you prefer. Tires & Wheels The wheels are the original type “optional” 14” Style Steel wheels with the correct trim rings and center caps. The tires are BF Goodrich T/A radials and appear to have 90% of more tread remaining. addition of Air Conditioning ???? If you require Air Conditioning, I can have this added for an additional $3,000. I have done this for a number of my buyers and will be happy to do it for you as well. This change will have to be paid for in ADVANCE and there will be a two week time delay associated with the deliverability of the car.
