1952 Chevrolet 3800 1-Ton Pickup Truck Former US Navy Fleet Vehicle. * All original. 7 x 17" wheels on front. 7.5 x 17" wheels on rear. 216 6 cylinder engine that was supposed to have been rebuilt shortly before it was parked. 6 volt charging system. Clear title from MD from 1970. This truck belonged to the US Navy & was used at the Naval base at Annapolis, MD until January of 1970 . The story I was told was the gentleman who drove the truck while on base, purchased the truck shortly before he retired from the Navy. He used it on his farm. The truck sat in a barn for approx. 15 years after his death. The truck has a brass plate on the dash (see picture) that reads "NAVY DEPARTMENT TRUCK PICKUP 1 TON 4X2, MODEL 3804, CAPACITY 1 TON, SERIAL NUMBER 14KS-B 1199, YEAR OF MANUFACTURER 1952, ENGINE SERIAL NUMBER AKCM-47177, REGISTRATION NUMBER USN 94-11580, SLN C-78-T-49800-1401 CONTINUED NUMBER DA ORD-713,SHIPPING WEIGHT 4025 LBS, GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT 7000 LBS, OVERALL HEIGHT 80" WIDTH 75" LENGTH 222", MANUFACTURED BY CHEVROLET MOTOR DIVISION" The ignition coil condenser and points have been changed. The engine starts up very easy. I have driven this truck around the block several times and the transmission seems to shift very smoothly and the motor runs good. I have installed a brand new gas tank and sending unit. The brake lines have been replaced and the master cylinder pumps up but they need to be bled. I have installed new floor boards but they need to be welded in. The overall condition of the truck is in good condition with some minor rust in the cab corners and the kick panels. I have an extra seat that is in good condition with new foam padding and maybe was recovered a few years ago with no rips or tears. The running boards are very solid. I also have 3-15 inch 8 lug wheels and tires that come with it along with the original 17 inch wheels plus a spare. has a good GMC tailgate that is on it now but comes with a Chevy one that is in poor condition. There are some extra small parts too. It is going to need some front end work done to it before it is really road worthy.
