You are bidding on a matching numbers 2-door coupe 1969 Caprice with a 427 CID 390hp engine! The Caprice was considered Chevy's luxury model and there were few 427's put in these vehicles out of the factory. The Caprice was really the "Luxury Version" of the Impala. With that being said, the stock 427 CID engine nearly doubles the value of this car considering that Chevy did not make the Caprice to be a sports package. This car also contains bucket seats and a console shifter (see pics) which according to my research is a very rare combination with the 427! It appears as though the original owner of this car wanted to have the performance of the Camaro with the luxury of the Caprice. This car has fresh paint matched to factory specs and a new vinyl top as well as a restored interior. The car is in great working order with a new transmission and suspension just put in. My father and I were in the process of restoring this beautiful car, but I moved away and it has been very difficult to completely finish it. There are still minor things that need to be worked through before this car is “complete”. The speedometer cable needs to be reworked, some small interior items such as decals, knobs and things like that need to be installed.
