Deposit is STILL due as per the rules, but please call me and I will assist in your further needs. Thank you! Somebody just got finished spending a bunch of money on this car! I'd say it's a good guess that it was the ONLY owner, being a one owner. It really shows. Exterior is in fine shape. The biggest eyesores being the front and rear bumper covers. Plenty chipped up, but the former owner gets an "A" for trying. EVERY spot is touched up....with nearly matching teal paint. I'd imagine this color is hard to copy in a bottle. The remainder of the body seems to be all original. I'm no bodyman but I can't see any signs of repaints or even a hint of major repairs. Not to mention, this car was barely driven considering it adds up to about 6900 miles a year! Paint looks great and shines nicely. Minor dings here and there. Scratches as well, but no dents or even signs of major body repairs! As you know, the 850 line of Volvo's didn't rust, unless improperly repaired bodywork or just plain lack of care. Nevr heard of the brand, Arizonan, but the matching tires are very very recent...like 1500 miles ago or less! Tires are all-weather types and are super quiet on any pavement. Rims have seen better days with some minimal soccermom rash on the edges, but all are vibration free even at speeds of 80+ mph. Hard to see, but the brakes/rotors are nearly new as well. Operation is perfect. Also unseen are the recent struts with upper strut mounts. Considering there is a tiny bit of pop under hard potholes, I inspected for answers. I found a lower balljoint with some play. I'll be replacing the ENTIRE lower control arm (comes with new bushings). This should keep the ride quiet! Pretty clear to see the touchups above and below. Hey...they tried! Vinyl looks good even with some light cuts and scrapes. The car looks very well kept, considering the 850s are getting harder to find in decent usable condition, I'd hope you don't pass on this one! You probably didn't notice, but the grill is pushed-in on the upper left corner in this pic. I didn't notice it until today. I'll be fixing it, no worries! Interior looks very nice...7 out of 10 for sure. Soccermom use front to back. Headliner isn't hanging but loose. Decent sized hole in the driver's seat altho the bolsters look good. Carpet is clean. Actually the entire interior was professionally cleaned since I can see remnants of kids/mom car. I've found a few deep corner stains and pieces of toys stuck in tight spots! No biggie. Beats the stentch of smoke....and I hate smoke. No signs of it in here! Below you can see ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup yet none on during run. The "TRAC" light came on, which leads me to the normal ABS unit repair that I will perform. This will be fixed for you at no charge. Also, a keen eye will notice the "000.0" on the Tripometer. As you may or may not know, the 850 line was notorious for odometer gear failure. Plastic gear (which is here on ebay for abour $10 on item #110956869813 and 20mins to fix) fails from age leaving the odometer not working. The SPEEDOMETER and all other gauges works, so at least you can see your speed. A quick Autocheck will show you that the failure was very recent and odometer readings are in valid order. I don't bother fixing it since ALL cars over 10 years are exempt from reporting mileage...at least in Illinois. This is technically a second car, teen car or nice beater. Feel free to use it as a primary car especially if times are tough. No Reserve, remember?!? All the power items work as far as I can tell. Power windows, locks, sunroof(only pops up does't slide back), radio, dual climate control. Air Conditioning works, but the cycling of the pump tells me it will need a recharge come Springtime. Power driver's seat. Heated seats altho I didn't test them. Even the CRUISE works! Ahhhh yes....the covetted rear 3rd row!! Technically allows for this car to be a 7 passenger, yes? Not to mention airbag city, fronts, sides! Unseen is the complete spare setup intact. Don't forget the full factory floormats are included! WOW!! Rear center child booster seating too!?! True mom-mobile here! Put ANY of your loved ones in this car. NO RESERVE reliability! Look...even has the front cupholder intact! Along with the factory manuals (late 1996 model perhaps that it has a 1997 manual?). One factory key with a working keyless keyfob too! Super clean engine compartment. Clean enough to eat off of. No greasy shiney shine, just clean. Altho there is no tag, the timing belt was replaced and I estimate at least 40+k miles left on it. Recent polyurethane upper motor mount, better than stock. Clean fluids. Air filter is clean. Brand new Autolite spark plugs. As stated above, recently installed front struts with upper strut mounts. Recent tires. Recent brakes. I'll be installing the lower control arm and repairing the ABS unit at no charge. Interstate battery is super strong and fires up the perfectly running non-turbo 2.4 engine. Underneath the car, I see zero signs of major oil or coolant leaking. Not even sweating. Nice and dry. No spots on my shop floor overnight. Transmission shifts as it should. Engine and trans are smooth. No drivetrain noises. Car drives smooth and straight with no unusual wandering or pulling. Looks to have recent exhaust work too! All you need to do is BID AND WIN. Then recharge the AC in the spring, buy the $10 odometer gear/install if needed, keep the oil changed and drive the wheels off this car!! BID, BUY, and DRIVE ANYWHERE with 100% CONFIDENCE!!
