For sale is an original owner, original car 1976 Mustang Cobra II 80,433 original miles. Has a factory 302 engine 4 speed, posi track rear axle. This is a very original car with survivor paint, sheetmetal, interior. It has the warranty card, owners manual and title all in the original owners name. I have only had this car a short while when my wife's new 2013 Corvette came in. I need the garage space so here it is for sale. I bought this on a whim because I had one just like it in high school and after purchase I still feel this is a great car. It drives great, stops on a dime and handles good with rack n pinion steering. I think it drives as I remembered when new and have found no mechanical issues. There is no oil leaks, engine is strong and does not smoke, transmission shifts through all the gears with no issues. Brand new B.F. Goodrich tires, new battery and all maintence done. The body is a survivor with ZERO RUST top to bottom. I have added pictures of the underside of the car I was pleasently suprised it was painted the same color as the car. I think a steam cleaning would make the underside look like the top.The car has normal dents dings etc but very nice. The white stripe is tape and needs replaced if you are a perfectionist as it has some cracks from the heat. The trunk looks like it has never had the spare out. The weather strips are soft and not torn, doors shut with a soft click and do not sag. The interior is very nice with minimal wear over the years. Dash is mint and has no cracks, carpet is original but not faded all lights work and even the cigarate lighter works. Windows move up and down with no issues, hatch shocks are still strong and hold the rear hatch. Seats are new covers OEM. Known issues are Radio needs hooked up and that is it. All other things work great. If I get my buy it now I will fix/ hook the radio up. I would not be afraid to drive this car across the USA. That being said it is a 1976 and that makes it 37 years old. On Oct-21-12 at 09:05:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I needed to add this due to all the questions as to the one owner: This car came from a collection and can only be traced back one owner....meaning that only one person ever titled the car and drove it. It still has the paperwork, warranty plate, warranty book, PDI sheet and title in his name. It has changed owners but never registered or titled. I have left that way on pupose for the nostalgia. and rarety The same reason I didn't make any permanent changes "it is only original once".
