For sale 1957 Chevy Belair 2 Dr hardtop unrestored barn find with original paint, body, driveline and interior WOW. it is even in drivable condition. see video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6atBVSOzaU This 1957 Chevy is a Texas car and is basically rust free there is no bondo or repairs to the body anywhere its all original with factory paint. The only spot of rust is driver lower fender passenger side. This is a typical spot where the rust. (Comes with new metal panel to fix) The frame, floors and rocker panels are perfect there is no rust out or repairs anywhere. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2fJ2cWGxN4 The doors and hood open and shut great and align nice. The body is really nice except for dents and light surface rust from things seating on car for years while it was stored away. I got a quote from a custom rod shop to fix all the body flaws and then repaint with original colors and the quote was for $3000 which I thought sounded fair. Most rusty 57's need over $10,000 worth of metal repairs alone so I think any one can see what good shape this car is in. It's a Belair 2 Dr hardtop the most sought after model. With clean title and yes VIN and cowl tags are present and match. Cowl tag read 57-1037d Body k 2219 made in Kansas the 2219 car made at this plant. It was probably made in early 1956 with this low of a production number. Trim 670 black/silver Paint 817d India ivory/canyon coral The car has been stored since 1979. We put a new master cylinder on and the brakes work good. We tuned it up with new battery, battery box and new plugs, wires, and a carb rebuild. It runs and drives good. All the lights work except the rear backup lights (I did not check why) The horn works. The push button radio works even the vacuum wipers still work. It's a straight six blue flame engine with powerglide auto trans. The dash is very nice, the headliner looks great, the seats and door panels need recovered and the carpet needs replaced. It comes with a new interior kit in the factory black silver pattern. The kit includes new head liner (car does not need this) new seat covers for both front and back seats, and enough material to recover the door panels. All you should need to buy would be new carpet. Most of the chrome like around glass and door handles are nice and not pitted because it was stored inside for so long. The exhaust needs replaced and it still has the original tube tires so they would need replaced. This is all that needs to be done to be a driver that I know of. It would be a very easy frame on restoration or even a complete frame off restoration if you wanted to go that far. They are very hard to find this complete and original it even has the jack. Any person who is going to build a high dollar 57 would be much better off starting with a car with all original body parts.
