Vehicle Detail
0 0 1 346 1974 Potomac Highland Winery 16 4 2316 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE For Sale: 1974 MGB GT, Teal Blue. This is a very good running car with good tires. I have three MGB’s and need to sell because of space problems. The car has been kept in a garage since I purchased it in August 2010. The car is all original except the electronic fuel pump, which was installed by a former owner. The bumper guards are from an earlier year, but I have the original, more bulky bumper guards. The owner prior to me installed a new muffler, tailgate seal, hood seal, radiator seal, trunk seal, water control valve, valve gasket, and some other small things. I have replaced the screen on the bonnet, new fan belt, new left rear quarter window, new insulation under bonnet, new clutch and brake pedal pads, new battery and cut-off switch, overhauled distributor, replaced rack and pinion boots, new brake pads and shoes, new brake fluid, rebuilt front calipers, new seals and re-packed bearings on front axle, new wheel cylinders on rear, timing set, new fuel filter, new hoses in engine compartment, new transmission mounts, (2) new universal joints, exhaust leak fixed and muffler bolts added, new windshield washer pump and fluid bag, and tune up. The paint is good with just two small chips and two very small dents in the rear hatch, which don’t show up in pictures. All the glass is good. The car is a strong runner, starts easily and very comfortable to drive. The engine and the manual four-speed transmission are good. All the lights and switches work. Projects that need to be done yet to make the car a show car would be to have the wheels painted and new carpet and seat covers installed. The vinyl on the seat backs and sides is good, but the cloth seat covers could be renewed. The car has rubber floor mats with insulation beneath. The carpet is fairly good except for the rear hatch deck. The car is very nice and fun to drive as is. The rear valance, where the muffler attaches, has some small dents and needs straightened and painted. The car has an AM radio, which works and the prior owner sent another radio, which has not been tested. The car has a solid body with no rust or bubbling on the doglegs or rocker panels. The trunk, fender wells, floor pans all show the original blue paint. There is one small spot of surface rust in the trunk, easily fixed.Shipping: Responsibility of the Buyer. Car sold as is with no warranty specified or implied.
