1975 Mercedes-Benz 280 Saloon For your consideration is this 1975 Mercedes-Benz 280 sedan. This car would make an excellent candidate for restoration or a great donor for your restoration project. The car has been in dry storage for the last few years and now it is time to make room in the garage. The beauty and styling of the 114/115 chassis made it an instant classic. The exterior is in decent condition, for the most part the panels are straight and damage free, the hood does have a sizable dent in it, but the grill is in good condition. The bumpers and chrome trim are in good condition. As seen in the pictures, the interior is in fair condition, while not perfect it will not require too much work to bring it back to outstanding condition. Even though the car has been in storage for several years the 2.8 litre DOHC engine started right up after the installation of a fresh battery and a little starting fluid (the gas in it is old and will not allow the car to keep running longer than about 30 seconds at a time). Please note: this is a car that requires work, so no, you cannot get in and drive it cross country. -TERMS OF SALE Buyers are more than welcome, and even encouraged to inspect the vehicle in person before the auction ends.
