I am selling this barn find 1961 MG roadster, the licence plates are the ones for the car from day 1, BLACK California and first registration was in 1963 as was engraved in the front plate. The last registration is Feb. 1980 and I have not tried the engine but it moves freely ( I don't have the key yet and I don't want to run it before I clean the gas thak and check all the pipes and....). Everything in this car is original and nothing modified or restored. The body is straigh and does not have any dents except a 1" X 3" dent at the middle edge of passenger door next to the fender and of course the whole car should go through restoration process. Outside color is yellow with very little rust. The interior needs to be redone in case you want to restore it , both seats have cuts in them but not bad rips. This car has original removeable windows ( very rare ) and the only things which I noticed that are missing are: 1 - The gas tank cap. 2 - The cover for the rear licence plate light ( or maybe the third light ). 3 - The actual push horn ( the spring and bracket are there ). 4 - The ON/OFF/volume button for the radio ( The tune button and the rest are there ). 5 - The passengerside door chrome trim is brocken in half. 6 - The leather top cover is not there but the I have the frame. 7 - The jack. The car is a project but almost %99 of the original parts are there. It could be used as is which will have its original antique/classic look or could be restored. A friend said that the right fender might not be a 1961 and there were no factory yellow Midgets, you could see trace of sprayed paint under the hood in front of the car. The car was purchased in southern california and brought to Los Angeles 4 days ago. It should be trailered out. I do not have the original documents, only a bill of sale.
