Vehicle Detail
Gorgeous 1964 Chevy II Nova SS. This is a true 0447 factory SS Nova with a 283 V8 and two speed Powerglide Transmission. Cowl tag matches colors and all options!!! 938 Paint Code (Desert Beige) with a 702 Trim Code (Saddle Buckets) 283 V8, 2 barrel carb 195 HP with 2 speed Powerglide transmission. All options have been decoded below. Car has been kept as original as possible without sacrificing reliability. Gets plenty of attention everywhere she goes, almost too much. BODY: Nearing 50 years old she is extremely straight, appearing to have had one repaint in the late 80's to early 90's. Minor dings and blemishes you'd expect on a car this vintage, nothing major. Frame is straight and there is no evidence of any major accidents or rust issues. INTERIOR:Interior has been fully restored including new seat internals, new vinyl, new seat belts, new carpets, new rear package tray, new door panels and various trim pieces. Headliner and dash pad are original and are "driver" quality. DRIVETRAIN:The 283 runs beautifully, entire fuel system has been gone through including a new fuel tank, new fuel lines, new 2 barrel carb with electronic choke, and a new fuel pump... car starts right up every time. Has been very reliable, we've run it all day in 90 degree heat without an issue. The 2 speed Powerglide shifts smoothly through the gears and works flawlessly. Please only contact me if you are serious about purchasing the car and have the funds available to do so. Thanks for your interest. Here is some more detailed information about the overall condition of the car that may be helpful in your decision to make an offer on the car: Odometer states 57k - no way to determine accurateWindshield wipers - Working (3 speed I think)Washer - Not working but all there.Radio - believed original - powers on but no sound from speaker - haven't investigated issue. Cigarette lighter - WorkingTemperature gauge- not workingSpeedometer - WorkingFuel Gauge - WorkingGauge Lights - WorkingAll Exterior lights including signals - Working except for reverse lights. All Interior lights - Working except glove box - think it needs a bulb. Horn was working but the contact in the steering wheel needs to be adjustedAll four tires are in great shapePower steering - New Ram was recently installed. Installed new brake shoes all the way around in the last 1k miles. Rear shocks are new, could benefit from new shocks up front but they are still in working order, doesn't bounce. All the windows roll up and down, seals between the front and rear window are new - the remaining seals are original. Dash pad looks original to the car, no major rips or tears.Headliner has a few small tears and is also original to the car. It is not sagging anywhere though. All together she is a lot of fun and has plenty of character. Please let me know if I've missed anything and I'll post answers in the question area below.
