You will see other 500 series Mercedes here on ebay. They are NOT this car. This was a special "Supercar" Mercedes produced with the M119 engine. Don't be fooled.."The Wolf"is not your Dad's '93 500E. This Mercedes 500E was produced ONLY from model year 1991 through 1994 and was created with close cooperation with Porsche ONLY; "The Wolf" 1993 500E was hand- built by Porsche and Mercedes (and Daimler signed) They were literally transported back and forth between the Mercedes plant and Porsche's Rossle-Bau plant in Zuffenhausen. Each car took 18 days of hand building and assembly to finish. This cars original price tag at Schumacher Mercedes in Scottsdale AZ was $83,500 (in '93). The 1993 500E is a 4 door passenger sedan with individual Recaro seats front and rear (heated and real leather) It utilizes the 500SL engine (5L 32Valve, DOHC, Fuel Injected, 330 Horsepower engine (M119.) Bosch Jetronic fuel injection . Suspension is self leveling and hydraulic. 4 speed Automatic with the "Slap stick" mode that lets the driver start in 1st gear. The vented front brakes are huge 320mm 4 piston caliper vented front racing brakes from the 600SL. It truly is the best of the best. Listen to the doors shut..Says it all ..perfect and never hit. Garaged its whole life..except for the occasional romp that is. About one third of the 500E' s were allowed to be imported to the USA from '91 through '94. This car passed California emissions as that was the port of entry and is 100% legal in all 50 states (not grey market) Pure Arizona car. Absolutely no rust...NONE. Facts: Nickname- "THE WOLF" (in sheep's clothing) by the US press 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds 1/4 mile 14.1 seconds at 101mph ( I did it in 109mph allegedly) Top Speed 161 mph (allegedly :) at 6000 rpm Note: Small animals..birds, cats, dogs, coyotes and rabbits are considered scary at 161mph. All metal flares, wider track, lower profile, side skirts, air dam with wide tires sets it apart from the 300E body style or any normal 500E. 1 owner car. I bought it from the original owner through a high dollar car auction here in Scottsdale AZ. Mechanically perfect with records. 147K miles. (got another 150K miles left in her easy!)..go to Mercedes here on ebay and select HIGHEST MILEAGE first in the search engine...look at 'em 300K on some Routinely 200 K on most... This rare 500E is solid and dependable and very very very fast. BTW. This car is from my personal collection. It will be perfect as described. With no issues. Other than hate to sell it. (too many toys) Really! Trust me. "The Wolf" is a BEAUTIFUL EXOTIC FIRE BREATHER and as comfortable as your living room to relax in. Cruises at 110mph with ZERO effort. Flaws: small oil droplets from time to time. Translation: Small towel and wipe garage floor once a month..not excessive or a problem. She is solid and ready to drive.
