Up for auction is a 1972 Chevelle Malibu with Super Sport Option Package, Exterior is Pearl White with Royal Blue SS Stripes, interior Black. Total Engine rebuild approx. 2000 miles on rebuilt engine, $5000 in new engine parts, Turbo 400 Transmission rebuilt with $2000 in new parts, approx. 1500 miles on rebuilt transmission. New Drive Shaft, matching engine and transmission torque. Front suspension rebuilt in 2010, American Racing Polished Aluminum Mag Wheels with New Dunlop Tires size 245/45R17. No bondo on body, Small dent approx 2 1/2 inches or less in length driver's side rear quarter panel. New electronic AM/FM Cassette Radio with Remote CD Changer. Bucket Seats with center console. Windshield Wipers are not working (never drove in rain) may need wiper motor, has Spedometer cable is not hooked up. Has a working Tachometer, Just didn't get to the wipers and spedometer was busy with the rebuild. When I purchased the car 7 years ago it had a 402 big block which has been bored out 0.060" from the rebuild, thus now a 408. Per the VIN number, the car originally had a 350 cu. in. 4bbl engine which I have no idea whether it still exists. From appearance of the body and frame it does not appear that the car has ever been in any major accidents/damage that I am aware of prior to my ownership or during my ownership other than the 1 minor ding I mention in the listing. When the car was painted the current color it must have been taken apart as there are no signs of any previous colors at door jambs, hood, trunk, etc. Per the VIN number the car is a Chevelle Malibu with the Super Sport option package. Some car enthusiasts beleive that only a Chevelle SS is a true super sport when actually the Malibu was a step up model from the standard Chevelle and the super sport option package was available for both models. Car has a 12 bolt rear end, approx. 375 to 400 HP. Thanks
