Vehicle Detail
RELISTING DUE TO A NON-PAYING BUYER. This is one of the cleanest and meanest 93 Mustang 5.0 coupes you will ever see. I am the 2nd owner of this Mustang. It was purchased new by the Orange County, FL Sheriff's Department. This car was an unmarked police vehicle and still has the “DSO” tags behind the front end, 160mph speedo, double layer floor pans, etc. I purchased the car in 1999 from the Police. I have a copy of the original police dept. title. I have the current clean title. No accidents, no smoking, never raced, etc. This car has been stored under a car cover in my garage since 2003 until recently when I decided to finish building it. I have taken meticulous care of this car since the day I bought it and it has never seen rain nor has it ever seen a race track. This is not my daily driver but rather a weekend toy that I don’t have time to enjoy anymore. I built it in a road race style and only bought the best components. I have poured a ton of money and time into this Mustang. It currently has a base SCT chip tune from Tony G. at Tuners, Inc. in Orange Park and is making about 450hp. With a more aggressive tune, this car can exceed 500hp with no problem. This car is very fast and sounds incredible. The pictures don't do this car justice. The black interior is all original with no rips, tears or stains. The door panels are original and even the ash tray door still works. The back seat is still in the car and has never been sat in since I’ve owned it. The car was repainted in 2009 by my friend who paints for Mercedes Benz for a living. It was done carefully and correctly with all the body panels removed and the engine compartment painted. The color is Ford Mineral Grey. The paint has never been wet sanded or buffed yet and it still looks beautiful. Every piece of weather-stripping, metal trim & plastic molding has been replaced. I rarely get a chance to drive this car due to work and family obligations so I am reluctantly letting it go to someone else who can enjoy the car like I have. I love this Mustang and have a lot of great memories with it. All of the parts except transmission have less than 5,000 miles on them. The body has 144k and the T-5 transmission has about 10k since complete rebuild. Below is a list of the main components of the car. I will require a $500 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of auction close. The balance must be paid in person with cash or certified bank check. Please do not bid on this car unless you are serious and have the funds on hand to complete the transaction. Please email me with questions and thanks for bidding! If not, I will cancel your bid and block you. Thank You. **ADDITION INFO BASED ON QUESTIONS: This car is not "perfect" but it is extremely nice. It has some imperfections, it will be 20 years old next year afterall! On the rare occasion that I drive it, it turns heads and ears! The window tint is old and peeling in one spot on passenger window but still looks OK. No A/C installed. I do have original compressor, brackets, hoses, etc. that is included with the sale. Wipers and wiper motor not installed but I do have them. All the wiring is there and ready if you want wipers. No power steering. I prefer manual with cars like this and it is pretty easy to steer. Front seal at timing cover has VERY SLOW oil drip. Like a couple drips a day, not a gusher. Speedometer bounces some so my guess is that the speedo gear needs to be replaced. This car could still use some fine dyno tuning. It has a BASE TUNE as stated above but still runs good. The supercharger is not being pushed hard at all because timing is near stock.
