This 1961 Metropolitan is outstanding! It has 12,251 original, documented miles on it. It has a clean and clear title which illustrates these miles too. This Metropolitan is Bircher Green (Which is like a Turquoise) and a Frost White. These accenting colours make this car very noticeable as you drive it, a true stand-out. It is a three speed synchromesh transmission which, of course, is on the steering column. In the day it was referred to as “Three on the Tree.” It has a four cylinder 1489cc engine. It originally cost £475.00 in 1961. There were only 319 Metropolitan’s built after this one. This one was built in April 1961. As you look at the photos you can clearly see this one has had a restoration done to it. It is magnificent. It was in a barn and there was no rust when the restoration was done. I do have photos of before and after on this Metropolitan. I did add carpet throughout as carpet was not an option when these vehicles were built in 1961, but other than the carpet the Metropolitan is original throughout.
