1958 ford fairlane skyliner with factory numbers matching 352 interceptor/thunderbird engine and cruise-o-matic, white exterior with red and white interior, and the very rare factory installed ford selectaire, power steering and power brakes, has 105k original miles, engine and transmission were rebuilt by previous owner and runs great, all original drivetrain and engine/transmission has been well serviced since, steers and stops great, drives real nice, just floats down the highway when we drive it into nearby Tucson from Marana where we live, factory ford selectaire which is original and untouched, was working until we pulled the belt to save fuel when we drove it which was mostly during the winter months here when the weather is about 65-75 degrees, will need a recharge now, everything works, all lamps and light, turn signals, horn, all dash lights, radio is town and country option and hums when it warms up as they do, may need serviced, all glass is good and all original, back glass is just dusty in photo, top works great but does need to be adjusted as it has not been used that much, best thing for them is to be exercised and used, all limiting switches and motors and cables work great just the adjustment needed, also the top operating switch is sticky sometimes and we have to hold it in or out a little, may need a cleaning or graphite lube, will need a headliner installed, interior is all original except for new very nice carpet and windlace which we put in just 4 months ago, door panels and seats are very serviceable and the front seat has a little fade and one small tear, very minor, windows roll up and down nicely, doors close very nice and fit very well which is a sign of a well cared for skyliner, has factory luggage tub, has new battery, new front tires, has all four original wheel covers, grill is very nice and all bumpers and stainless are here and in good condition, has been tuned with plugs, points, condenser and timed, has the original 4 barrel holley 1573 which is rebuilt and bench flowed from local shop Carbs Plus in Tucson, we kept it in the box after it was rebuilt and installed a chrome edelbrock for everyday use and left it that way to preserve the holley, brakes have been bled and serviced, wheel bearing packed and serviced, paint still shines but has some age appropriate wear, seems to be original but not completely sure, a couple of surface rust spots in paint here and there as you see in photos, they are all only surface and very light, most of those would buff down to white but some are paint chipped from age or wear, metal is thick and very solid with no worries, we left it for the original look but it has a nice straight body and would prep easily for a repaint if desired, could not detect any previous damage or issues, has been an AZ, car for many years as we purchased from 20 plus years previous owners and always garaged, was their driver for years, clear title, a great mostly survivor AZ. car with the very rare factory ford selectaire with correct factory selectaire badge on drivers door, see photo, photos were taken in the evening, in our garage as it is still in the 90's during the day here so we waited for it to cool off, hope the images are okay to see everything, ( since posting this I have added some photos taken in the daytime to get a better all around view )call with any questions if needed, she runs and drives great, we last drove it in april and was put away all summer, have already checked everything and drove it around the block a few times this week at night, she is ready to go, needs someone to drive and enjoy the pleasure of owning a ford skyliner retractable, people marvel at the top when we run it up or down and it is the life and attraction of any parking lot we are in, deposit not required if you contact me with financial arrangements which we both can agree to, can drive onto any carrier and my drive is accessible for any auto transporter, any questions please call 1-520-682-2711.
