Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy. Ebay charges $125 even if you don't follow through. So please be considerate and follow through or don't bid. Thank you. You are bidding on a 1966 El Camino. Was stored for about 8 years. Been back on the road for about 6 months. A great looking car. More of a driver than a trailer queen. Body is pretty straight with the exception of a few small dings. There is no rust on this car anywhere except a less that dime size bubble on the bottom of the passenger door. Other than that, there is zero rust. I have gone over the car and have found no bondo. The glass is all good. The paint is not perfect. There is no rear bumper. There is a slight bow on the drivers side of the hood. Should show up in the pictures. Looks like someone closed the hood down with something sitting there. Should be an easy fix. There are chips and scratches from normal life. But it shows well at the local car shows. Gets a lot of attention. Out on the road it gets thumbs up and lots of turned heads. The tires are decent, and the wheels are period correct I think, with the exception of the yellow paint. This is a fast little car. The engine is a 327 from the 60's. I believe the heads are 194's. They have the single hump. There is a stout lopey cam in it. Sounds like a race car but idles smoothe enough to think that the engine is most likely balanced. Car has tons of power and is fast. A great cruiser. Starts right up even on a cold day and isn't a bit cold blooded. Just start and drive. Electronic ignition has replaced points, so very very dependable. Engine has some chrome and headers. Exhaust dumps out by the rear axle. The rear is a 12 bolt with highway gears. Trans is a turbo 350 with a B&M shifter. It shifts very smoothe and the fluid is bright pink. Very dependable. Would be a great cruiser or daily driver. Other than the front engine seal, there are no leaks at all. The front seal is a cheap fix. Top to bottom it is a very clean car for the age. No dissappointments. I bought this to help out a guy with medical troubles. It may owe me a great deal more than it will give back, but it is on an auction with no reserve. High bidder will own it. Thank you. The interior is pretty clean and comfortable. The dash is good with no cracks. No radio. I don't know if the seat is the original or not. All in all it is a pretty good car. It is what it is. Not pristeen, but a great toy for your garage. Sold as and where is. I will help all I can with shipping. I've sold 5 cars on Ebay and never had a problem shipping. Buyer pays shipping. Can store for a bit too if you need me to. Please call with questions. Thank you. 208-360-1636 On Sep-28-12 at 10:19:35 PDT, seller added the following information: Been getting a lot of questions. Shipping isn't a problem. I have sold 4 cars on Ebay in the last few years. All had to be shipped. There were no problems at all. They pick it up at my house and deliver it to yours. Pretty simple. I am not a mechanic. I have owned a few hot rods in my life. This defininitely has a big cam, but unlike any I have owned before, this car idles without any difficulty at all. It starts up cold without any hesitation and just drives. No warm up time is necessary. I checked the block number. It is 3814660. It is a 67 327 with originally 250 horse power. I believe it has a great deal more than that now. The heads have a rectangle with a single rectangular hump on the top. A friend who is a motorhead said they are 300 Horse power heads with 194 intake valves. Also, research tells me that the seat could very well be original. The interior is acceptable as is. I looked the car over pretty well and I don't see any rust at all. The paint as you can see was custom in its day, and doesnt look all that bad today. I get tons of positive comments. There are no dents. A few dings only. I need the money back that this car owes me. I would love to keep it. It is a great hot rod from when I was a kid. But I just don't have the extra money. I bought it to help out a guy that needed to pay medical bills. I couldn't really afford the car, and I really didn't need it. Just trying to get my money back. Which is a great deal higher than the current bid. This is a beautiful, fun, fast car that doesn't need much. If you are looking for a cool fun toy from back in the day, or maybe a great first car for your kid, this is really amazing. You'll love it. Thanks for looking. Call if you have any questions. 208-360-1636 On Sep-29-12 at 15:17:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Brakes are the original drums. They work perfect. There are no leake in the brake system. There are no electrical issues. Everything works just as it should. Rear end is not leaking. Front end is tight, steers fine. As far as I know, the engine is most likely new. It runs amazingly. Very powerful. I called a shop in town and they said $120 to fix a front engine seal. The tranny shifts fine. Seems stock but I cant say for sure. No leaks. Fluid looks perfect. There is no rust at all. This is a clean tight car.
