Vehicle Detail
1968 CHRYSLER 300 CONVERTIBLE This car was purchased by it's now deceased owner in Florida over 25 years ago. It has been garaged in the Rochester, New York area since 1991. There are 105,000 miles on the odometer, and it has a 440 V8 engine rated at 350 horsepower. The engine starts easily and runs strong. On the column 3 speed D-2-1 TorqueFlite Transmission, that shifts smoothly. All chrome and brightwork is outstanding. The convertible top is in excellent condition, and opens and closes easily with the touch of a button. Look inside the jambs, the undersides of the doors, the floor of the trunk, etc; everything just looks right. This is a very original rust free car, with a solid undercarriage. A $1000 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end. Full payment is due within 5 days by Cashiers Check, Cash or Wire Transfer. We can help in arranging shipping. Empire On The Bay 72 Donovan St. Webster, NY 14580 empireonthebay.com On Sep-26-12 at 10:34:22 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to numerous questions, I am posting several photos of the undercarriage, as well as inside the door jambs and the insides of the doors. The headlight doors open and close properly. Several people who have seen this car insist that it is the original paint. I do not believe so; in my opinion it is an older repaint. I do not know the age of the top. There are no signs of wear to the top. The deceased owner's widow goes to my church, and she asked if I would please come and get the "Batmobile" out of her garage. Her husband was a retired Medical Examiner. They took the car to local shows and on an occassional Sunday drive over the past 25 years. It made a trip out to California in the mid 1980's. Beyond that, she really does not know much about the history of this car. Please ask any questions, I will do my best to answer them in a timely manner.
