Vehicle Detail

Up for auction a refurbished 1975 CB750K Model. I purchased it from a 91 yr old gentleman. It had sat for many years without being ridden and needed alot of TLC. The paint was badly faded, the front brake caliper leaked, the head gasket was leaking and it ran poorly. The sidecovers were cracked and the seat was in very poor condition. I started by having the tank and new sidecovers painted Metallic Gold and new decals applied. This work was done by Adam of Rice Lake Collision Center. The original color on the bike was Apricot Red Metallic. I had it painted a Gold that was very close to the color Honda used in 1970-71. The rusty kickstands were sandblasted and powdercoated satin black. The engine was removed from the bike and a valve job was done at Miller Mall Machine Shop along with all new gaskets, valve stem seals and necessary orings. While the motor and trasmission assembly were out of the bike it was completely degreased and cleaned. The upper and lower fork brackets were also sandblasted and powdercoated satin black. I also replaced the steering head ball bearings with an All Balls tapered roller bearing kit to improve handling. The front caliper was rebuilt with new seals and piston. The carbs were disassembled and rebuilt with new Keyster kits. Inspect, clean and replace rear seal, oring and retainer in rear brake hub assembly. Tune-up bike, replace points, condensers, spark plugs, adjust timing, synch and balance carbs. Replace sump plate gasket. Clean and repack rear wheel bearings, Replace the rear drive chain. Replace fork oil with Belray 10W High Performance fork oil. New parts on the bike are: Condensers, points, steering stem tapered bearings, carb to air cleaner boots, battery, rear muffler diffusers, fuel petcock, fork seals, tach cable, battery strap, Throttle pull cable, Keyster carb kits, rear gas tank mounting rubber, spark plugs, front fender collars and mounting rubbers, caliper seals and piston, tachometer seal, Top end gasket and seal kit, rear chain, both sidecovers, oil filter, tank decals, transmission cover seal. It also has a new front tire, tube and rim strip. A new Honda OEM Seat assembly. This is not a Concourse correct restoration. The work that was done was necessary for it to be a very nice everyday rider. It is not a Trailer Queen or a Showbike. I have driven this bike 1099 miles in the last 2 yrs. I do full restorations when necessary. I do this as a hobby. I have restored BSA, Triumph, Matchless, Norton and Honda motorcycles. I have refurbished BMW, Moto Guzzi, and other Japanese motorcycles. This bike is sold "as is" and has no Warranty. It runs very well now with no issues. It will soon need a rear tire, it still has lots of tread but is starting to weathercheck. The bike is not perfect but is wasn't meant to be. It is a great rider with lots of "K" bike character. I will help with bringing it to a nearby location, where it can be shipped on a semi tractor trailer, if need be. Thanks for looking at my listing. I have sold many bikes on ebay and other venues. I need to thin the herd. You can only ride so many bikes.
