A 3 Day Auction - Being Offered At No Reserve & Sold To The Highest Bidder! Up for auction is a very rare find that doesn't come around that often A True California 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sports Coupe Hardtop With It's Original 283 V8 It was found sitting in a near by storage facility. The Bel Air was parked in the same spot since the 90's. Story goes the owner purchased it in the 70's in Long Beach, California. It was a project of his for many years. He stop working on it & had it parked in his front yard. Guys would stop by all the time trying to purchasing it. His friend owned a storage lot & he decided to park it in there as it was secured, hidden away from the public. Well, so many years later the owner decided to let go as reality kicked in. A True 57' Bel Air Hardtop Sports Coupe that remains it's original 283 V8. Spent it's entire life in California & recites the Black plate. This would make a great restoration project for someone. The body is pretty straight for it's age. Most of all the chrome trim is in place. Floor pans are original & in good shape. They do have surface rust but no major holes. Solid trunk pan including spare wheel well top to bottom. Has the smaller common Bel Air rust on the bottom of the doors, fender & corners of the roof line. Firewall & pillars are clean & original. Looks to been painted Black from the original color "Ivory White". The interior needs to be restored as well. The dash/gauges are in place (missing some trim). The front bench & back bottom of the bench are there. Headliner, front door panels & carpet are missing. What you see in the pictures, is what you get. Remains it's original 283 V8 engine ( "F" Suffix Code. Missing the carburetor, fan & brake cylinder. Looks as it has not ran in years but the engine is there. Was a factory Powerglide Automatic but looks at one point they wanted to convert to a 4 speed. The owner cut a hole on the floor & added a clutch pedal. Never got around to finishing it I guess. I do have the original air cleaner, heater box (?) & a extra transmission to go along with it. Sure, there are plenty of 57's but most of them are in driver condition. A True California Bel Air Coupe is impossible to come by anymore, in this sort of shape. Here's your chance to own a real rare find . . . especially at no reserve. Please understand that this is a project & needs to be restored. Cowl tag & Id still place. ____________________ Conclusion & Terms _________________________ I have set my auction at 3 Days With No Reserve, so please only serious bidding.
