Selling my driver 1965 Porsche 356 C coupe VIN 222566. This car has been in Napa since the 1970's. Mechanicals gone through to make this car a safe, reliable classic. Drives straight, feels solid at high speeds. Engine *751178*, 1967 912 big bore 1720cc, last full rebuild in summer 1983 by Lukes and Shorman, Albany, CA, with new forged crankshaft, rebuilt rods, fully balanced. New pistons and cylinders, rebuilt SC heads, 40mm Dellorto carbs installed Dec. 1988 by Lukes and Shorman. Starts easy, runs strong, no oil leaks. 741 transaxle 76511, shifts well. 4 wheel disc brakes rebuilt calipers, new master cylinder, lines, pads. 5 new Vredstein classic 165HR15 tires, 4 1/2" painted steel wheels, factory Konis, new link and king pins, 4 wheel alignment. Odometer just turned over and currently reads 00195 miles. Total actual mileage on car or engine is unknown. All gauges work except for the clock. Every light works, horns work, 6V system, Optima battery. Factory paint code 6404 light ivory. Car was last painted in the 70's similar to champagne yellow. Bumpers, doors, and several spots have been repainted, touched up, blended in. Has many rock chips, dings, and dents. Needs a complete paint job to take this car to the next level. Door bottoms have been repaired, battery box and front floor replaced. Clean interior featuring original material on door panels, moldings, headliner, and rear seats. Fresh German square weave carpet. All rubber seals are in good shape. Glass is good. Heater functions well. I hold a clean, clear California title in my name. Registration paid through Sep. 2013.
