Vehicle Detail
1995 Honda Odyssey EX in good working condition. The EX is the uplevel model and includes captains chairs, sunroof, alloy wheels and rear air conditioning. We have owned this car since it had 84000 miles and have used it for hauling one kid for a couple of years and then mostly for commuting. Vehicle has never been in a crash and has had no paintwork done to it. It is mechanically sound, but rusty. Cosmetically there are numerous scratches and small dings on the body that are consistent with a vehicle of this mileage and age, it is hard to see them all in the pictures. Things known to be good with the car: Engine and Trasmission: Car starts, runs strong and transmission works properly and shifts smoothly.Brakes front and rear are good and have good amount of brake pad left.Steering is in good shape.Suspension is in good shape, shocks are new.Tires have between 6/32 and 8/32 tread, so about 50% tread remains. The car drives straight, does not make any bad sounds and feels solid when driving.ABS, Airbags, Radio, Lights, signals, wipers and washer, sunroof, A/C, Heater, Map Lights, Cruise Control, gauges and indicators all work properly. Battery is good, but is 4 1/2 years old and it may be wise to replace it before the winter.. Known to be bad The car has rust; see the photos. The rust is progressing at a slow rate as it has been showing some rust for a long time. The rear window defogger does not work. The switch lights up but does not heat the glass. I think the relay is not getting power. I did not try to fix it because the back window is vertical and nothing sticks to it anyhow. The engine leaks oil -- expect one drop of oil each day.The Remote Keyless Entry does not work.Typical dirt and spots on the carpet and floor mats consistent with a vehicle of this age. The passenger door key-hole has a twig in it and the key will not go in. The drivers door and hatch keyholes do work properly. On hot days, when the vehicle is parked and locked, occasionally the power door locks will lock again. This does not seem to cause any problems as it only happens when the car is already locked.Alloy Wheels are straight and true but dirty and have typical wear and tear for a vehicle of this mileage. Some velcro was placed around the clock as a GPS holder and, once removed, has left behind white residue that I am not sure will come off. It is visible on the image that shows the steering wheel. MaintenanceI have all receipts since 84000 miles. The car has had a lot of parts replaced that typically wear out on older Hondas and is in a condition to deliver trouble free use for awhile: Oil has been changed whenever the maintenance reminder had said it was time. The oil has been changed 17 times since 84000 miles. Parts Replaced during 2012: Shocks and struts and mounting bushings, Radiator, Exhaust manifold, ABS accumulator, rear brake pads, Power Steering Belt..Parts Replaced During 2010 and 2011: Front Upper and Lower Ball Joints (all), Front wheel Bearings (both), CV joint Halfshafts (both sides), Tie Rod Ends (both sides), Tires, trans fluid.Tires are General Altimax HP, which are highly rated over at TireRack website. I recently rotated them. They have good tread and should provide service for a couple more years. OtherVehicle is located in Buffalo Grove, Il 60089. Interested bidders may inspect it by contacting me through ebay; licensed drivers may test drive it.I added a trailer hitch to the car and have used it once per year to pull a mini-trailer with an aerator from Home Depot each fall. Never towed anything heavy. I added Child Seat Tether mounting points (anchors) behind the second row seats in the factory location using Honda parts. To do so, I had to slit the carpet. If you remove the anchors, there will be a slit or hole in the carpet. I am not selling this vehicle outside ebay. Highest bidder will get the car. I will not accept offers for the car and will see the auction through to auction close. Bid with confidence. No reserve auction.I will accept cashiers check, cash or PayPal.Spare tire, jack and tools, and floor mats are included with the vehicle.Ask me any questions and I will respond; unless asked not to I will post the answers on the auction listing so all bidders have the same information. On Sep-22-12 at 05:52:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I am putting in a new battery today 9/22/12.
