Vehicle Detail

*Note: eBay won't let me enter the correct VIN for this car, which is WP0AA09267N451556. Please disregard the VIN listed above.* I bought this car at the beginning of the summer with the intention of converting it to an all-electric vehicle, but now summer is over and the car remains mostly untouched so I'm forced to sell. It is a five speed manual with just 80,526 miles. It has a title and three keys. This Porsche is a 924S, which is the one you want. Porsche produced a standard 924 early on, which was slow, and a 924 Turbo, which was plagued with turbo reliability issues, before creating the 924S, which was both quick and reliable. In fact, the 924S was faster than the (much more expensive) 944 of the same year, making it highly desirable. Unfortunately, time has gotten the better of this particular Porsche. It is not currently running, but I don't think it will take much to change that. There seems to be a leak in a fuel line near the rear, and I'm told from the PO it will need a new clutch. It will also need a new muffler and battery, as it currently lacks them. Beyond that, it's all little things, with the exception of a paint job and a new hatch, as the current one won't close properly (or maybe you could make it close?). Either way, this is a restoration project, NOT a showroom car, so expect to find minor problems as you go through the car. It is 24 years old after all! The interior is in decent condition for its age, though the driver's seat is slightly torn. The dash is cracked, but a dash cover is included. (You'd be hard pressed to find a 924 without a cracked dash.) Also, the parking brake has been removed, but all necessary parts are included. I've got loads of pics below that hopefully speak for themselves. If you have a question or would like a specific picture, please don't hesitate to ask! Please note the buyer is responsible for shipping. (Note: If the pics are too large or take too long to load, try making your browser window smaller. If they don't load at all, clear your browser's cache and reload this page.) ^^Note the line extending from the mirror downwards is water, not paint. ^^The only dent on the entire body (besides some tiny dings). Not major at all! ^^The hatch doesn't quite close all the way. ^^The hatch isn't sealed properly at the top. It shouldn't be too hard to reseal it. ^^Where the muffler used to attach. As far as I can tell, the muffler and battery are the only parts this car is missing. ^^The roof is scratched. A new coat of paint should take care of that. ^^Four wheel disk brakes. An optional extra when this car was new. All four tires have good tread remaining. ^^Proof this is indeed the "S" model. ^^Only 80,526 miles! ^^Pedals aren't worn at all. ^^Rear seats are in great condition! ^^Driver's seat is slightly torn. ^^Trunk area is a bit worn. ^^Spare tire hump. ^^It's a Porsche!
