This is probably the NICEST 2000 S40 specimen that I've ever had! Absolutely gorgeous. The car REEKS of one ownership. If you've been missing my others or just holding out for a nicer model (???) then your wait it over. Seriously. If I needed to be in a 9.5 out of 10 appearance driver with specific options, this would be my choice. Low miles. Cloth seats but with the sunroof. ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING. Everything works. Clearly Dealer Serviced throughout. And aside from a tiny spot, NO RUST! Even the rear license plate frame is clean! Body is easily a 9+ out of 10. Minimal minimal scratches. ALL easily buffed out if desired. I can barely count on one hand any dings. ZERO dents. No signs of bodywork or major repairs. Front bumper looks great with minimal rockchips and scratches. No damages holes or cracks. Rear bumper looks brand new....possible repaint it looks so good. Hood, trunk and roof are excellent with only minor light stains here and there from age....again....buff away. Below matching Continental (dealer issued usually) tires have at least 60% tread left. Left rear is a nearly new off brand tire. Must have had a blowout during a roadtrip that it didn't go to the dealer. All tires ride on damage free vibrationless wheels. Above is the little spot o' rust....bubbles and VERY typical for these S40s since there were no mudflaps present. As you can see, the color is that gray-purple. NO....not Prince Purple Rain purple with chunky sparkles! It's more like a tint of it. Wineberry on the purple side. Grape? Similar as the color of this text? The car looks Charcoal Gray at night and looks amazing at all hours. Look at the reflection! Seriously...I just rinsed the car off. Wiped it down to dry. Vinyl looks awesome. Note the new rear tire. Bumper is flawless. Interior is also a 9+ out of 10 all day long. Light remnants of stains in the cloth seating up front. No holes, cuts or tears. Driver's bolster is MINT. Rear seating looks barely sat on. Feel free to eat off the carpeting. Clean. I hate smoke and I don't see or smell any signs of a former smoker. EVERYTHING power works as it should. Windows, mirrors, climate control, ICE COLD A/C, locks, cruise, CD/radio. sunroof, etc. Even the power antenna works! Below you can see...NO dummy lights illuminated while running and all works upon startup. It had a code with the check light on when I picked up the car. Reference to the Cam Timing Solenoid, which is pretty typical on these cars. I cleared it and it hasn't been on since and I've driven about 100 miles under numerous startups. Fluke from sitting?? No worries. Factory Volvo floormats are included. Unseen in the fully intact spare setup. Sorry no manuals. Car comes with one key and one working keyfob. Last but not least, the fine engine compartment. Engine starts up perfectly and effortlessly with the Factory replacement Volvo battery. Runs perfectly with the recently replaced Volvo dealer timing belt(99k miles). Spark plugs are fresh. Air filter is clean. Doesn't leak a drop of oil or coolant. No overheating. Transmission shifts as it should every time. All fluids are clean and most likely recently changed. CV shafte and Suspension are tight and noise-free. No unusual wandering or pulling and smooth at any speeds. Brakes are recently serviced from the Dealer with Volvo components! Smooth strong and pulse free! I have literally only one issue to address. The motor mounts. Typical for these to wear over time, the IDLE ONLY suffers from worn mounts. Not horrible, but a light idle only vibration is evident after the car warms up. There are 3 main mounts. The passenger side looks fine so I'd address the front and rear lowers. These are only about $50 a piece on ebay(item#310395459017) and about an hours work thru your trusted mechanic. Or...just leave it for a while and drive drive drive this beauty!! Volvo tires.
