1970 Datsun Roadster 1600 - Convertible Purchased 2 years ago and driven back from Chicago, IL to Fargo, ND. 659 Mile Trip! Prior to that, the datsun was in storage or over 10 years. Motor is strong with only 61,000 actual miles on it. Title is clear. Selling to make room for a winter project. This car is not running, but would probably only take a few hours to crank it over and drive off. I basically drove it back from Chicago, parked it and started working on it. So, it has more or less been parrked for 2 years. The Good - Body is rust free, and straight. Tires and wheels are like new.Freshly painted - needs touch up and wet sand.New Slave and Master Cylinder Interior is like new, no tears on seats, dash etc. Top is in good condition - 2 small tearsWhen it was running..it would maintain 70-75 MPH on highway with no problem. Planed down head - no warps or cracks. What needs to be replaced - Distributor - might recommend electronic distributorBrakes - could use new pads up front, and check the drums in back Carburetor - I have the old one but the needles are bent pretty good Wiring - Some minor wiring needs to be done...I had the bright idea of re-wiring and botched it. Insignia - needs new lettering up front and would probably replace trim Drivers side door handle and window trim is cracked and old Might consider a new exhaust system - it has a few leaks History - I believe this was the last year of the Datsun Roadster. I think the Datsun Roadster As mentioned, I believe I am the 3rd owner on this vehicle. The prior owner stored it in a dry storage unit for about 10 years. Shipping and Payment - Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and pick up. I require $500.00 deposit via paypal with 48 hours of auction closing. I would like it picked up and paid for within 2 weeks of winning bid and auction close. Cash in person or cashiers check is acceptable.
