rare 1961 convertible . 1101 were built this is # 968 .the body is stone gorgeous you don't put black paint on a wash board. red interior w/black carpet and red floor mats. top boot is red to match interior. white top is in very good condtion. one small frayed area on the piping above driver side wind wing about 3/4" long. this car gets the thumbs up everywhere only negative i have found as to rust is the front floor pan has been replaced. rear seat area and trunk pan are very solid. no patch panels and all exterior sheet metal is better than will probably find. car was restored by a studebaker craftsman in 2002. the list of parts replaced is long . someway i have misplaced it in a move. engine and transmission were rebuilt then. has been driven about 5500 miles since. it is a 259 with a 4 barrel and dual exhausts, it runs like scalded cat and gives you 21 mpg. since i bought it on ebay in 2007 i have replaced the water pump ,both fuel pumps "auxiliary electric" studes don't like to sit around. replaced the tires about 500 mi ago. battery is now about 4 yr orbit. i added rear seat belts "studebaker" and front and rear bumper guards "nos" .the list of factory accessories are, reclining seats "drive-in movie special" pwr steering, pwr brakes, electric clock, right twice a day, AM radio, back up lights, power top, the rear plexiglas is clear with no sun burn or cloudy areas the zipper works much better on a warm day, fender skirts "try and find those", 1961 owners manual and a couple of advertising pieces. i encourage the buyer or a representative to come and inspect. there is no warranty or implied this is a 51 yr old car but i wouldn't be afraid to go anywhere .i live 100 mi e/o souix city just off US 20, 125 n/e omaha nb 105 mi n/o Des moines any ??? please call 712 297 7835 larry caskey rockwell city iowa this is a reserve auction and please no international bidders transportation is also yours but i will assist in any way i can. storage is no problem but would like it to be gone before snow flys . 1000$ deposit withn 7 days balance before pick-up 7-10 to clear even a certified check . there are games being played with every thing today if you want to drive it home i could pick you at Des Moines or Omaha
