Updated Navigation – Voice Recognition – Rear Seat Entertainment – iPod – Bluetooth You are bidding on a 2007 Mercedes R320 CDI 4MATIC with Iridium Silver exterior and Black interior. It is equipped with the lesser seen Premium “P02 Package” that includes all the bells and whistles like the panorama sunroof and even rare features like Infrared Glass for the windshield and front windows that drastically reduces the heat build-up and UV rays in your car. The options also include Voice Recognition and iPod integration. Dealer add-ons were a DVD Rear Entertainment System and the Bluetooth phone module (which isn’t typically found on this model year). The sticker price was $55,665 before the dealer-adds! (see picture of the original window sticker below) The add-ons were $2,350. That’s a $58,000 vehicle you’re getting for less than $15,000! The Mercedes diesel is an unbelievable engine paired with a 7-speed transmission. The window sticker says 28 mpg highway, 21 in town, and you can believe it. I’ve gotten as much as 29 on an interstate trip last month, and we typically see 23-25 mpg averages from tank to tank. That’s extraordinary for a 3-ton vehicle. This is one of the true 3-row vehicles on the road. We bought this R320 six years ago as a family hauler for kids and grandparents. With the captain’s chairs in the second row that slide fore and aft to provide plenty of entry room into the third row, it can truly transport 6 adults comfortably. While the miles seem high, it averages out to 22,500 per year. We have put most of the miles on the car going on several multi-state trips to Disney World (3 times!), competitive horse shows for our children (four states in five weekends this summer), and visiting grandparents (three hours in opposite directions). The car has been well maintained, as any car report will show. All of the maintenance was done at one of the MB Dealers in Indianapolis. Repairs have included recently replacing the air compressor and relay for the air shocks and the transmission conductor plate. These are repairs that should make the vehicle road worthy for a long time to come. We have kept the Mbrace (formerly TeleAid) system upgraded and active for automated response in case of accident or vehicle breakdown. The Navigation DVD is also upgraded for 2012 – no 5-year-old highway changes to deal with on your trip! The tires are Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza, which were put on last December when the car had 116,997 miles. They are 65,000 mile tires and have plenty of tread remaining to last the next 45,000 miles. There are some standard wear-and-tear items on the vehicle such as a few scratches (the worst on the rear passenger door and the rear bumper, which I’ve tried to highlight in the pictures) and a small tear in the driver’s seat (also in the pictures).
