Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my '78 red King Cobra. She's sitting on Welds with big and littles. The tires hold air, but they are age cracked and I wouldn't drive far on them. I fire her up monthly and cruise around the neighborhood to keep the fluids circulation, but that's about as far as I'll go in her due to the tires. Runs good, fires right up, stops good, steers good, she is 100 % functional as she sits right now. The A/C system is complete, but I have removed the compressor, condenser and a few of the hoses, but all parts are present and accounted for and are included in the sale. The 302 V8 engine fires up readily, and idles nicely and doesn't appear to leak any oil. There is an Edlebrock Performer 289 intake installed, along with a 500 cfm Edlebrock Performer carb. An older set of Blackjack headers is installed (they've been on the car for many years by the looks of them) and a new set of Heddman header is also included in the sale. The exhaust system consists of the original catalytic converters still in place, running out through a set of glass pack mufflers to tips exiting the rear of the vehicle. A set of later model Fox body aluminum valve covers were installed somewhere along the way as well. The C4 auto trans leaks a very small amount of fluid when you drive her, but I've only had to put fluid in once since I bought her back in December 2011 from the original owner. She has '83 GT netted halo seats (need to recover the drivers side). The original seats are available with the sale, but they are in pretty bad condition. You can decide if you want them when you see them. The original radiator has been tanked and repainted. The original clock has been completely restored and is in great working condition. There are a ton of extras included, including an NOS front air dam (non-tooth), a full brand new front end from Speedway Motors (a arms, strut rods, bushings, coil springs, shocks, spindles, and all associated hardware), an original right side rear spat to replace the missing one, and tons of small parts. Also included with the sale is an additional set of t-top under hood braces. I have a clear Blue, Texas title in my name for this car. Buyer is responsible for any shipping related fees and securing shipping if needed. I will assist in getting the car to the shipper of the buyers choice as best I can if needed. Payment to be made by cash or cashiers check only at the time of purchase if picking the car up in person. In the case of the buyer not being able to be here in person, I will accept a cashiers check, or personal check, through the mail and will hold the car until it clears my bank.
