1985 AMG Mercedes-Benz 500SEC Coupe Up for auction is this beautiful European Edition AMG SEC with only 54,405 miles on the odometer. The beauty and styling of the 126 chassis made it an instant classic. It is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful “big body” Mercedes-Benz to come out of Stuttgart. All of the information about this car is further documented in a perfectly clean Autocheck report, which I will gladly email to all interested bidders. -Exterior The mile deep paint has a beautiful shine and color makes this car look absolutely gorgeous. Overall the paint is in very good to excellent condition, it has some very minor imperfections here and there, however nothing readily noticible or worth mentioning. The only flaw in the paint is some minor fading in the top of the rear right fender. The chrome is nice and complete. Structurally this Mercedes is in very good condition. The does not appear to have any rust or accident damage including the undercarriage which is spotless. -Interior The grey Interior is in great condition. The carpets are spotless with no stains, wear, rips or tears. The leather seats are in good condition, the only flaw is some slight wear on the drivers side bolster (common on any car especially Mercedes vehicles of this vintage). The dashboard is immaculate with no cracks or discoloration. The wood trim is in good condition. There are no strange smells or odors which is sometimes common in older cars which...this car smells like a Mercedes. Windows and sunroof all operate as they should. Even the power seat belt extenders work! The power locks are not working at this time, the vacuum pump activates suggesting a amall leak or disconnected line somewhere, time permitting this will be fixed before the auction ends. The air conditioning works, however will require a recharge. -Engine & Transmission The original five litre eight cylinder engine starts up on the first try and it is strong as ever. It runs and idles as it should, with no problems. The transmission shifts seamlessly through the gears with no slipping or jerking. There are no strange noises or vibrations from the engine or drive train, It drives nice and straight at any speed. -TERMS OF SALE Buyers are more than welcome, and even encouraged to inspect the vehicle in person before the auction ends.
