I am selling a very solid and factory original Southern California 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. This car still has the original factory Black paint that is very thin and obviously needing to be repainted. The car is missng the original engine and transmission but it was removed without cutting up any wiring and the engine bay is extremely clean and ready for another engine to be installed. The original owner had removed the engine to install a more powerful engine but then lost interest and then sold the car a few months ago. The interior is in need of being redone however it is very complete and the dash an tilt steering column is one of the cleanest original ones I have seen. It has power windows. The steering wheel is in very good shape. The dash has never been cut up an until last week, the pad had no cracks but in the AZ sun and heat - one showed up. The dash pad is very soft and pliable so it may be able to be repaired. The trunk is in absolutely amazing shape with th original sparrter paint so nice I would not redo it. There is not rust or any issues in the trunk. It still retains its original space saver spare. Underneath the car is also quite amazing for such an old car. To me it looks likea 5 year old car with minimal road grime and no rust issues. It still have the original Posi rear end. This car has all of its' origina sheet metal ndhas never been in an accident or has any repairs that I can see. It has the original radio wih the Jensen equalizer. The original aircleaner is in the trunk as well. It would b very easy to install another engine and restore this Trans Am to it's original condition because noone has hacked it up over the years. It is 100% original and you wil be the first to restore it. There are no hidden surprises with this car. I am only selling this as I have a few other car projects and it will be years before I get around to this one. I also have a large inventory of Pontiac GTO and Corvette parts that I am selling.
