NO RESERVE AUCTION...HIGH BIDDER WINS This auction is for a used 1997 F-150 XLT. The truck is a standard cab long bed with the economical 4.2L engine and manual transmission. This is a one owner vehicle that has been in California for the last 15 years. The truck runs great...I just drove the truck from California to Iowa through the desert, mountains and plains with NO problems at all. The AC blows ice cold and the truck got about 21 MPG on this most recent trip. I have a folder full of receipts for repairs/oil changes/new parts pretty much everything that was ever done to the truck. Don't let the miles fool you...this truck has been maintained since new. In an effort to be as honest as possible...here are the negatives I know of. The truck has some body damage to the right rear as seen in the pictures. The interior could use a real good cleaning. One of the dash lights is burnt out. The headliner is starting to come down in spots(you do not notice it at all when you drive). The truck previously had a ladder rack installed so there are some holes on the bed rails. There are dings and scratches on the truck as shown in some pictures. The clear coat on the drivers door side is flaking off in spots as shown. OK...so here are some positives. The truck runs/drives/starts/stops/shifts just as it should. The are NO mechanical problems with it at all. NO check engine or service engine soon lights. As I mentioned...I personally drove this car nearly 2000 miles last weekend with no issues and no worries. The battery and tires are newer. The cruise control, power windows, power locks all work just fine. The truck has an AM/FM cassette radio that sounds good. It has a nice bed liner with multiple tie down spots. It has a tinted sliding rear window that is fully functional. This would make an excellent work truck or first vehicle for someone. If you have any questions at all please ask and I will get back to you ASAP. If you would like to see the truck before you bid let me know. I'm located in Bettendorf, IA just a couple of minutes from I-80. If you are looking for a perfect truck do not bid on this one. If you are looking for an affordable truck that runs great and has been regularly serviced and taken care of mechanically then this is for you! With that being said...this is still a used truck...so it's being sold as-is without any warranties or guarantees. There is a complete AutoCheck history report available on this page to review. I have a clear title in hand for the buyer. A non-refundable $500 deposit via pay-pal is required within 24 hours of auction end. The balance is due when you pick up the truck...I would prefer cash but will accept a LOCAL certified bank check. The title will only be released when the check has cleared. I will NOT have the truck shipped. If I were the buyer...I would not hesitate to fill it up with gas and drive it anywhere as it's a very dependable truck. Again, if you have any questions or would like to see the truck in person let me know. Thanks for looking and good luck. Just an addition...I've received many questions about why I'm selling this truck. This was my fathers truck and he recently passed away. I really don't need another truck. He lived in California and after his passing I brought the truck back here (Iowa). Again, the truck runs like a top and has no mechanical issues at all. I made the 2000 mile journey from Fresno, CA to Bettendorf, IA with no problems at all. Please keep in mind the miles may be slightly higher than pictured as I'm driving the truck every few days. It's a solid truck...this is a crazy low price for a truck that runs this good. Don't bother offering anything lower...if it does'nt sell I'm teaching my son to drive a manual transmission and it's his.
