I am selling a 1968 GTO Convertible. It is a read 242 car and not a clone. This car has been off the road for many many years. It looks to be fairly complete and has been coverd outside until recently when the cover tor and thus it has just been exposed to the Arizona Elements. The body is very very solid and this is not all rusted out. The hood is starting to kink on one side but the other is fine. It is repairable.The doors look excellent and the Trunklid is also in very good shape. I do not think the engine is the original. The previous owner said it was out of a 1970 Formula or something. It has 6x heads on it so that seems to make sense. The car is original Yellow with a white top and interior. It is a very nice color combination. It does not have hideaway headlights but the grills are in very good shape. Under the hood you will find it to be very original and not all messed up. It still has the front filler panel for the nose which is almost always missing. I am only selling this as I have a few other car projects and it will be years before I get around to this one. The floors in the car have ZERO rust issues. You can still see the original yellow over spray everywhere. There is obviously some dirt and specs of surface rust here and there but abolutely no cancer. The trunk floor ispitted from having wet stuff in the trunk but it is not rotted thru anywhere. We started the car today and it fired right up.... we did not run it long as the carb obviously need rebuilding from sitting so long but it sounded healthy. The doors have no rust issues around the lip and the car is overall extremely solid!!! Please call if you have any questions...
