1948 Mercury Eight Coupe Rebuilt 1953 Flathead with Headers and dual exhaust, that runs and drives GREAT! Very, very Nice Interior, with a Great Body (Just needs a freshening up of the paint, as it is faded) Pretty sure if it has rust, it is very minimal. (see trunk picture) Heck, it even has a set of fender skirts if that's your look! Breaks my heart to sell, but the Wife has found a car she likes (and she NEVER likes my cars), so reluctantly I need to part with it. Bottom line…..When will you see another 48 Mercury Coupe in this condition again?? Work done in the last 2,000 Miles, (that I have receipts for) · New Wheel and Master brake Cylinders. · Radiator Cap. · New Clutch. · New Motor mounts. · Exhaust header gaskets. · Radiator Rod out and new thermostats. · Rear Shocks. Other; · Professionally rebuilt motor! · Electric Fuel Pump, (to eliminate any vapor locks). · Headers. · Even the horn works! · Converted to Positive Ground. · Shows 70557 Miles, Accurate???? Work Needed, · New Dash Trim, the old plastic trim is tired! · Drivers and Passenger side windows are cracked. · Occasionally the Starter catches. (very occasional) · Tires are old, still very functional but if you are going to drive a long distance I would probably update. · Temperature gauge is inaccurate, car runs cool! There is some hail damage to the Visor, and it needs to be repainted. Chrome is driver quality. The Car is 64-years old....not bad shape, but it still is 64-years old!!!
