Vehicle Detail

Wow...if ever there was a BMW that was hard to come by, I'd say this model is high at the top of the list! I'm a HUGE sport wagon fan. I personally own a 98 Volvo V70R in the Sapphron color making it a one of 113 unit in the North American Continent. I don't know how many of these 325 wagons were made but I'm thinking Sportwagon 5 Speed is pretty unusual!! Easily a 10 on the funmeter scale! Yet another high mile properly maintained specimen brought to you by justlikenew2u! Some people run away from the high milers. My response is HOW did it make it there? Proper maintenance. No I can't show you a list or history of work, but your eyes do NOT deceive you! This car looks runs and drives like an 80k car! Yes there are some cuts and bruises but overall a beautiful car that will bring you years of use! Here's the KBB.com Private Party Value of the car from my area. To say the car is in FAIR condition is an understatement. Click the link below and bid accordingly. I assure you, others will! http://www.kbb.com/bmw/3-series/2001-bmw-3-series/325it-wagon-4d/?vehicleid=3787&intent=trade-in-sell&mileage=202900&options=145027%7ctrue%7c145042%7ctrue%7c145135%7ctrue%7c145142%7ctrue%7c145155%7ctrue&pricetype=private-party The front end looks great. MINIMAL rock chips. Bumper cover looks good with minimal scrapes. No holes, cracks or damages to be found. I'm no bodyman, but the car doesn't show any signs of major body repairs. I'd go as far as to say it looks to be all original. Headlights and other lenses looks great. Even the front driving lights work! Matching Michelin tires at every corner can't be very old! Easily 90+% tread left and they are filled with nitrogen for reliable air pressure. Rims look good with minimal soccer-mom rash on the edges to be found. Absolutely zero rim vibrations at any speed. Brakes are super strong and nearly new as well! Body actually only has a handfull of dings. Rear bumper cover has seen better days with a few scrapes and scuffs. See following pics below. Vinyl looks great with minimal fading. All exterior lighting works perfectly. No lens damages or fading. Here is the biggest eyesore on the car. One obvious rust spot. There are unobvious others, see following pics. For the records, I found and replaced the missing centercap in the rim below. The One Owner Autocheck on my cellphone shows 1 accident. I haven't found any major body repairs on the car, so THIS must be the result from the accident status? The rear cover is a hair pushed-in yet doesn't look uneven. The rim is scraped a bit but straight. Purely cosmetic and totally repairable if desired! Or, as I would do, JUST LEAVE IT AND DRIVE! Above and below you can see the corner bumper cover scuff. If you look very hard, you can see the rust bubble spot on the door sill above. It's about the diameter of a pop can but there are no holes. Purely surface. This is the largest and is mostly hidden from the door until opened. Onto the nearly perfect interior!! Easily a 9 out of 10, NO BULL. I hate smoke and I can't see or smell and remnants of a prior smoker. The leather seating is nearly perfect. The driver's bolster is barely worn. No holes, cuts, rips or tears. Steering wheel looks great. No unusual wear anywhere with the exception of a light paint wear in the cup holder area of the center console. Hardly noticable since it's the same color underneath. There is a crack in the surround of the steering center plastic at the cruise control button. I can't figure out how to turn the cruise on? Maybe this is why. The worn interior items are definitely highway miles related. But ALL other power items work in the car as they should including the auto power windows, locks, climate control, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, HEATED seats, mirrors, wipers-front and rear, roof, radio including steering wheel controls, etc! As you can see, there are NO DUMMY LIGHTS illuminated while running and all come on during startup as they should. No codes. No problems. I've logged OVER 300 miles on the car to ensure it's reliability for you! Another nearly impossible to show rust bubble spot on this door sill. About the size of a half-dollar. Again, no holes. Back seating looks never sat in! No kiddie leftovers, stains, food chunks, etc. The factory floormats, except the driver's side, are included. Unseen is the complete intact full sized spare tire setup under the clean cargo area. Battery is clean and strong also! Below you can see yet another rust area about the diamter of a can, also. Some paint has fallen off this spot but no holes. Just to point out, there is ZERO rust under the doors, hatch or hood. All typical areas for this. Even tho they aren't power, the seats function properly with all their settings and adjustments. Below you can see the full compliment of factory BMW manuals, original purchase business card and even the radio code card! 2 factory issue keyless entry keys are included. One works, the other most likely needs a battery. And finally the superb engine compartment! Sorry, I don't have the specific service history on the car, but with my eyes, I can see it. Recent tires. Recent brakes. All factory dealer issue, proving a recent trip there for brakes and tires at least. BMW air filter. Battery is BMW issue. All the fluids are clean. I don't see any signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. Car doesn't leave anything on my shop floor overnight. Engine starts up perfectly. Runs smoothly and is super strong at all RPMs. The clutch works properly with no slipping. It seems to engage at a normal level. I got it to chatter a couple times but I believe it was from my lack of knowledge driving this car, my RPMs were too low. Otherwise under normal take-offs, it felt perfect! Transmission shifts into every gear perfectly with no grinding or unusual noises. No shifter slop, nice and tight. Drivetrain is super smooth and quiet. Absolutely no noises, popping or rattling. The car drives straight and smooth with no unusual pulling or wandering at any speeds. As stated, the brakes are nearly new: rotors and pads. Zero brake pulse. ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING works as it should. Only 2 issues to mention: the yellow OIL LEVEL LOW light pops on every now and again after starting. The oil is clean and full. This IS NOT the same as the RED oil light, which is dramatic oil pressure loss. A few searches on the internet shows me that the level sensor is finicky on these cars, which makes sense since it doesn't do it everytime I turn the car on. Second, there is a very RANDOM exhaust buzz and only at idle. It is NOT consisitent as if it's only a hanger or heat shield. Again, I've only heard it 3 times over 300 miles and a week's worth of driving. I only mention it because I disclose EVERYTHING I know about my cars. Who else nitpicks and personally DRIVEs the cars they sell? I can bet, not very many. I do. This car is a pure joy to drive. Truly the Ultimate Driving Machine! DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS ONE! Check my excellent feedbacks! BID BUY AND DRIVE ANYWHERE WITH 100% CONFIDENCE! Do it with NO RESERVE! GOOD LUCK! I apologize in advance if I sound like I'm scolding....but this NEEDS to be said. This vehicle is AS-IS/AS-SHOWN. The vehicle is in Illinois being sold by a dealer. WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE for your individual state's "inspection" or emissions compliance. I am simply trying to offer you and possibly your family a quality reliable vehicle. 690,000 cars were pulled from our roads during the Clunkers "program"....like most Americans, I still can't afford a new car and now have to sell(and drive)from what's left. I sell $3000-$6000 vehicles. Mostly what I would personally drive or own. I don't know if you are buying in my state or in Virginia or California...so I HAVE to make our cars ready for the road trip. I don't know who will be driving the car....so I HAVE to make it ready for your teen or your job in the morning. I can only promise I do the BEST that I can with what I have and what I sell. My EXCELLENT FEEDBACKS prove it. I'm not here to rip people off. I'm also here to help so feel free to contact me after purchase for anything....or even if you have any questions about a future purchase. Also, understand that I spend many countless hours (inspecting, repairing, cleaning, taking pics and writing specific personal ads) for everything I sell...not to mention the $125 sell fee that is charged to me at the end. Please don't jack around if you don't plan to go thru with the purchase. Thanks for your understanding. Now you're at the bottom. Hopefully I've covered the main specifics of the vehicle and eased your mind. I understand that you are putting yourself or your loved ones in this vehicle. I personally have put my own mother in an 01 C70 with 175k miles(which I just roadtripped 1500miles) and I personally drove a 98 S70 with 220k miles(which I just sold-see POSITIVE feedback)! Many of my personal friends drive cars that I have sold them. I treat you no different. If I haven't covered any of your questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call me at 815.744.7223. My name is Eric. Also understand that I have the right to end the auction early due to local sale. I STILL REQUIRE a $500 deposit to be made within 24hours. Use Paypal for the deposit please. Of course I understand each bidder/buyer has different payment needs. Sorry....no financing is available on this transaction. Please secure your own from you bank of choice BEFORE bidding. Remember....24 hours $500 deposit due....3 days for payment in FULL. Naturally I will assist in ANY shipping needs! Thank you for your interest on this NO RESERVE auction! GOOD LUCK! Venue of sale is Kendall County, Illinois. ALL BUYERS are responsible for $99 DOC fee. ALL ILLINOIS BUYERS responsible for 6.25% sales tax, $99 License Plate fee (or $30 current valid plate transfer fee), $95 Title fee. ALL COOK COUNTY (Chicago area) BUYERS responsible for 8.25% sales tax. There are about 8 other states that I (unfortunately) have to collect tax....but it's usually at a discount vs. regular in state. Vehicle is sold AS-IS/AS-SHOWN with no warranty expressed or implied. Please follow deposit and payment instructions posted. Cash in person is preferred payment. After full payment is made, you will receive vehicle (as shown/stated in this ad), title, associated paperwork and key(s). Please email or call regarding out of state pickup at local train station (Union Station-Joliet, IL) or closest airport (Midway-Chicago-MDW). I will happily assist in pickup for a fee to cover my time and fuel costs.
