Vehicle Detail
1990 GMC Suburban SLE, 2500 3/4 ton, 4WD. This is a great old truck, it seats 8 with loads of room to spare, it can tow anything, it doesn't do horrible on gas considering it's size. The story of how I came to own this Suburban. I found this Suburban in St. George Utah which is high desert and a no rust area. I bought it because it was a 3/4 ton big car that could tow a big boat and haul around loads of kids. I bought it from the original owner, which was a local corporation that used it to haul executives around in the 90's, it later became the companies security truck and made a million laps around the corporate property. The truck itself has 242000 miles on it, when I bought it, the odometer showed almost exactly 228000. At that time the engine had just been replaced with a factory GM crate motor. I have driven it back and forth to the Oregon coast twice from Utah and now it resides in Jacksonville Oregon were it sits not being driven. When I got it, the wiring for the trailer had never been hooked up to a plug, nor a reciever ever put into the hitch...it had never towed anything! I bought it to haul a 27' Chris Craft back from Oregon to Lake Powell...it did that without issue....I no longer have the boat, so I no longer need the Sub. to pull it. When I got it, I had my mechanic go through everything in preperation for the first trip to Oregon to tow this boat. It has all new tie rod ends, a new steering box, a new brake master, A/C recharged, new sensors in the exhaust, trans filter changed and flushed, engine oil changed. This truck runs good and could be driven across the country today! The tires are probably 35-40% tread, they are worn perfectly flat without edge wear. The 4WD works, has manual hubs up front, It has a block heater if you live in the cold country. It is due for an oil change and a new owner. it does drip a few drops of oil from someplace, not much. The power locks and cruise don't seem to be working.... it's cheap and will haul your whole crew!! COME GET IT!! NO RESERVE!!!
