Vehicle Detail
Up for auction I have a 1959 Studebaker Lark VI, 6 cyl, 3 speed manual. this is a great running and driving little car that could use a few minor things to really make it a daily driver. I love Studebakers and have owned a few, mostly Larks, I bought this car recently impulsively and really cannot keep it, more important things have came up and now I am going to sell it with NO RESERVE! I drove this car about 20 miles at highway speeds with no issues, it has a new clutch and it runs good, shifts good, drives solid. It does have a few issues and is missing a couple of pieces......the windshield is cracked, new windshields and rubber are readily available. The drivers side floorboard was rusted badly, I cut it out and tacked in a piece of 16 guage steel so I would have a place to mount the gas pedal. It is no finished or perfect, but makes it so you can drive it easily, I have the piece that was cut out for a pattern, again, complete floor pans are readily available for replacement if you wanted to make it perfect. The seats are old and torn, the paint is old but polishes up nicely, it has dents and dings in the body and bumpers. It will need new tires if you wanted to drive it anyplace far away, they have tread, but are old and rotted. The external oil filter has been bypassed, the previous owner said he did that because it was leaking, I haven't had a chance to pull it apart to really see why, but it is all there and it looks like it just needs some new fittings. it has no headliner.....I think that is about it. It's a cool old car with the original tahiti coral paint scheme....that was the factory color. I've had quite a few 59 and 60 larks, this one is nice...the front fenders aren't rusted out at all, the floor on the drivers side I think rusted out because of the windshield seal and water just sitting in it..... It's a great car...BID TO OWN!!! I will consider delivering this car depending on the location and what you want to pay me. It can sit in my garage for 30 days with no storage fees. I WILL NEED PAID IN FULL BY EITHER CASH IN HAND OR BANK WIRE WITHIN 2 DAYS OF AUCTION END!!!
