For sale is a 1958 Pontiac Star Chief. This car has had body work done many years ago and is not the orginal color. The orginal color as far as I can tell was more of a pastel green. There are some small holes in the floor boards just behind the front drivers seat and passenger seat in the rear floor. One small hole starting in the front passenger side floor board. The drivers side rocker panel needs to be replaced and the pictures show evidence of previous repairs around the rear wheel wells. Minor repairs would be needed here but the quarter panels are very solid. The frame is also in very good condition with no rust through or damage. The interior seats are original and will need reupholstered. The head liner is gone but the ribs are still there to put a new one back in. There is no engine or transmission; the drive shaft is still with the car. The engine compartment is in remarkable condition! All of the chrome appears to be with the car. The gas tank has been removed from the car and appears to have no holes in it. The gas tank could be cleaned and returned for use in the car. This car is an excellent candidate for a restoration as it is in too good of condition to be considered a parts car. My understanding is that Pontiac made less than 22,000 of the Star Chiefs for 1958.
