Vehicle Detail
1970 GS 350 67,500 original miles, power disc brakes, A/C, runs and drives. This is a West coast car it was built in California and resided in Southern California until recently. Thanks to the dry CA climate the majority of the body and frame is rust free. The rust that is present has been documented below in pictures and description. This car would be a great candidate for a light restoration as the engine runs smooth and the trans shifts right. Regarding the rust, the car sat for several years moisture leaked past the trunk seal and was trapped under the trunk matt which rusted out the portion of the trunk floor under the matt (see pictures.) Moisture also sat in the passenger’s side lower trunk extension and rusted a small hole though the lower passenger’s side quarter (see picture.) Last, under the rear seat on the driver’s side of the car the floor pan has a soft spot about 4inches square. Other than those areas the body, floor pans, rockers, core support, inner fenders, & frame are solid. The trim panel area inside the car around the rear window and package tray is rust free. I removed the rear window trim for transportation purposes and placed it in the back seat. The A/C compressor is missing, the original front bucket seats are gone, and the center console is there but needs replaced due to damage. A tilt column shift column was installed in light of the original damaged center console. The front bumper needs replaced, it needs a new GS grille, the paint is original and faded the interior needs restored. All original GS equipment including the dual snorkel air cleaner, distributor, 4 barrel Qjet carb, GS hood, original 315 hp 350 engine. The engine starts and runs remarkably well for the age of the car, it does need valve cover gaskets, the trans could benefit from a trans pan gasket, & it needs tires. This is not a perfect car but it is a great foundation to a light restoration and great driver. Clear CA title, please contact me with any questions. Car is located in Brighton, Michigan which is 65 miles West of Detroit...Good Luck
