You are bidding on a 1957 Hudson Hollywood Hornet Super 2 Door Hardtop. This is the rarer of the two option packages in Hudson's last year. The production total of this car is 266. The car doesn't run but the V8 327 engine is not frozen- it will turn freely. There is lots of concern about the rust shown in the pictures. The underneath/frame of the car shows no rust. You can even see the factory paint in some spots. The trunk pan needs a small patch and it needs to be welded in. The outer rocker panels have some small holes where the rocker panel moldings (near the brackets) trapped water. The front floor pans need some patches as the floor mats trapped water. The car is NOT a rust bucket. The body is free of any rust outs. The body has some minor dents. The paint, which I assume is original, presents itself such that one might consider leaving it as is? The chrome is in very good condition with little if any pitting. The front seat needs to be recovered. The rear seat is intact. The car is serial # Y-12069, Model # 35787-1, Trim # 764, Paint 87-67 (Two Tone green). The car will be auctioned with a Connecticut bill of sale as CT does not title older vehicles. The car is located in Abingdon, VA. Local pickup only- will help load the vehicle. This was originally a Colorado car thus the lack of rust on the body. The car is mostly complete.
