1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo GT. Presented here is a fine example of an unrestored 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo GT. This rare vehicle is a 2-door hardtop, orignal V-8, Four Barrel carburetor,4-speed transmission, power steering, bucket seat and console. This fine vehicle is all original and un-molested with only 55,000 original miles; cars are only original once and this is very presentable in its current condition. To make this car a show winner would take very little work. I bought this car from California and it still has its original front "Black Plate" bought in the late in 1962, first licensed in 1963. The Studebaker runs and drives very well, no notable leaks, clutch and transmission work just as new and the power steering makes it pleasure to drive. These cars were noted for rusty hinge pillars and these are very solid. Straight body with no dents or dings, paint could some touching up in araes but is still very presentable, all chrome and stainless is there and good shape. Of course not everything is perfect and some things could be repaired but it is 50 years old and like I said it's only original once. When I first got this vehicle I had new tires (wide whites) and new dual exhaust instailled. Unfortunately shortly after I purchased the car I began having heart trouble and the Studebaker went into storage. Now seven years later I realize that I won't be doing anything to the vehicle and it is time to let someone else enjoy it. We put a new battery in, cleaned the fuel tank, turned the key and it fired right up, checked all the fluids and the tire pressure and it drove just like whenI first got it home.
