Vehicle Detail
1989 Saab 900 SPG This is a great car for someone who wants a classic 900 model Saab. It needs an owner that doesn't mind putting a few dollars into it though. Currently it needs a clutch master cylinder to get it moving again. Its not a huge expense and most mechanics should be able to replace the part for under 500 dollars. It a great looking car and should have a lot of life in it; only 105K miles on the odometer. I have replaced the belts, clutch, brake pads, rotors within the last two years. Replaced the entire exhaust minus the cat, 7 years ago, 20k ago. Tires are good. Interior is in really nice shape, however, few small cracks on dash and headliner could use replaced. Small issues to take note of: Drivers side power window does not work, A/C does not blow cold, Drivers side windshield wiper not working, and Antenna needs replaced, Cruise Control not working, Power seat belts disconnected. The body is in overall good shape, except for the drivers side front fender, which needs replaced. I can Include a brand new replacement fender, however, it does cost some money to put it on because the front fenders are welded on from the factory. My father and I are the second owners of this vehicle which originally came from an Ohio dentist. We have run the car off and on for the last 12 years. It has seen snow and salt and does have some rust, but I believe that its in pretty decent shape. If someone were to replace the drivers side fender and do some minor work to it, it should make somebody a nice car. If someone wants a nice, but not perfect 900 SPG this is the car for you. And actually my father was the second owner then me. On Aug-03-12 at 11:45:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Due to a request from a potential buyer from Philly, I have uploaded some unflattering pictures showing showing the most common areas of trouble. I want to be as transparent as possible. I hope this shows my good nature as a seller. On Aug-03-12 at 13:13:39 PDT, seller added the following information: The one photo that looks under the vehicle that shows a rusty area at the bottom of the front drivers side fender. In my description I stated that I do have a brand new replacement front fender that I can include in the sale of the vehicle. Please note that overall the car looks pretty good for its age. While the areas that I have shown are important, most northern cars of this age will exhibit some amount of rust in the areas of the wheel wells, strut towers, and the control arms.
