For sale a used 2006 Mazda 5 Touring micro-minivan with 104,508 miles. We are the original owners of this vehicle. The car has had an oil change every 5000 miles, has had regular maintenance (all is documented) and has been garage kept. Tires are new (fitted @ 101,860, 4/3/12), front rotors and pads are new (less than 10 miles on them), the lower battery tray has been replaced (1 plastic tab had broken). The car has a K&N filter which improves mileage slightly and never needs to be replaced (clean every 50k miles). We changed the wheels to 16" Mazda Protege wheels for the potholes around upstate NY and for a much better choice of tires, particularly for winter. The car runs smoothly and handles like a sporty sedan, very little body roll and very positive steering. No mushy mini van handling here or low mpg's ! The Madza 5 averages 25 mpg in town. Passed emissions and safety inspection a few months ago. There are no outstanding mechanical issues and everything works! The interior is in really nice shape. There is some wear and tear in a couple of areas. See the drivers mat area. The exterior is also in great shape. There are 3 noticeable areas however: the drivers side front fender area has a dent, the 2 rear wheel arches are showing rust and the right side of the rear bumper has wear marks. 2 of the 16" wheels are new, 2 are used. The interior has the best space for it's class, to be fair though there is no other car like it. Lots of luggage space, 3rd row seating, and lots of room for the 2nd row passengers. Baby, child or booster seats fit with ease and the front passenger seat can stay all the way back! Interior space was one of the main reasons we bought it, the other being the sliding doors. Sliding doors are absolutely the BEST when you have kids. We are selling because our new driveway requires a 4WD in winter. Now if they made the M5 in an AWD then that would be the best family car out there!
