Vehicle Detail
Hello, you are looking at a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT. This vehicle is in good condition. It has the 4.0 V6; 4 door; 4WD; 3rd ROW SEATING; PW; PL; Power Drivers Seat; Cruise; A/C; Rear A/C and Heat; am/fm/CD player; Gray interior; Red exterior. This vehicle has approximately 206,000 miles on it and was my daily commute vehicle. It has a totally rebuilt transmission because the band in 4th gear broke last summer. It has a new hub on the front passenger side. The engine runs perfect! It does not use any oil or leak any oil anywhere on the vehicle. Oil was changed religiously every 3,000 miles. Here's what the vehicle needs: It needs the front drivers side CV axle and hub/wheel bearing fixed. It makes a whining noise after it warms up a bit. This is very common with these Explorers and I think I've seen it listed on alot of them here on Ebay as well. If you want, you can just disconnect the 4wd activation switch in the back of the pushbutton control and run the vehicle in 2wd all the time. The back brakes need 2 new rotors. The passenger side front window came off the track and needs put back on. You can still hear the motor run when activating it. The rear window wiper just quit working. The paint is in really good condition. There is some rust near the bottom of the vehicle and it can be seen when you open the doors only. Overall, this would make someone a great dependable daily driver if they want to take the time to fix the minor issues. I just do not have the time currently to do it. If you have any questions, please feel free to email. Bids start at $1,000.00 and RESERVE is set pretty low. Thanks for looking! On Jul-20-12 at 22:41:01 PDT, seller added the following information: I did go ahead and unplug the 4wd push button unit on the dash this afternoon and it did take the whining out of the vehicle driving down the road. So for now, it is in 2wd unless the buyer chooses to fix the 4wd unit. Thanks again for looking!
