Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is my 1968 Olds 442 - (Hurst Equipped). This car started it's life in California. I have the original title from 1968. I purchased the car from the original owner as a project for my father and I. Two years of restoration and lots of quality time has passed and dad has decided he can not drive it for fear of damaging it. I have the protecto plate and original car tags / plates from California that will go with the vehicle. The 442 is an original 4 speed with air and bench seat. Since the car was Hurst equipped - I decided that it needed Hurst wheels - which are reproduction wheels. The wheels are a hard to find 15 x 8. They fit the car nicely! This car has been restored to the original factory color which is a dark green which is referred to as Jade Gold. Paint on the car is 1 year old. The car has all of the original body panels and is a very solid California car. The interior has been completley restored, and actually just about everything on the car has been restored to original except for the interior which was black and ivory, and we decided it would look nicer all black. The undercarrige is as clean as the top of the car as I sanded the frame and had it coated with chassis saver. All of the suspension has been rebuilt. All weather stripping and seals are brand new. Bumpers have been re-chromed. Too much to list! The engine in the vehicle is a 455 that I purchased complete to get the car on the road. I do have the original block and heads which will go with the vehicle. If the block was installed - this car would be a numbers matching vehicle. I did not want to spend the extra time waiting for the motor, as I was anxious for my 74 year old father to be able to drive and enjoy his dream car before he could no longer drive. The car is 95% complete. We did take it to a few shows however there are a few minor things that have to be completed for it to be 100%. If you are interested in this beautifully restored vehicle and would like more information - please call (262) 886 5874 or (262) 909 8992. Thanks & Happy Bidding!
