Vehicle Detail
I picked up this 1979 Dodge Ramcharger with the intent of using it as a sweet commuter during the summer, but things change and practicality takes over so I have to part with my project. Here's the details, 318,2bbl,Automatic,2WD,odometer shows approximately 35Kmiles, unsure if that is original or not, removable hard top(currently off), it runs and shifts fine just needs more TLC than I have the time for, and with a 200 mile round trip to work, gas mileage comes into play unfortunately ,the body is very solid , the previous owner had not driven it (renewed the tabs) in 5 years, and had only used it as a summer cruiser (June-August) for the majority of the time he had it, the Black primer and rollbar were installed by him as I know it as were back seat lap belts. He has a "bikini top" of sorts for inclement weather that needs to be replaced due to wear, being a 2WD I was thinking a 360/383 swap and maybe go with a more aggressive rearend to team with the 727 transmission. but wife and family have made that wishful thinking, , it can be driven but would best to trailer as the tires are weather checked from sitting. Price drop wife wants it gone! The metal hardtop is now on, Somewhere in the past a previous owner had sprayed black primer over the body and apparently over the topper "as far as they could reach" it has a nice "forest green" underneath which is peaking through in places as it appears the surface wasn't properly prepped. The topper DOES fit over the roll bar, it will be going to a pressure wash to remove the built up film from years of sitting.
