I owned two X5's prior to this one and when they finally came out with the diesel I was back on the band wagon, I sold the previous two for being gas hogs. Only this tiime it was for my long term girlfriend that I had been planning a permanent future with. Car was cheaper than divorce and she didnt believe in secind marriages. She had a three year lease on her car and she was burning through miles at a rate almost twice what she expected and only half the lease was over. She had three requests, blue, SUV, and had to get good fuel economy because she hates pumping gas. She is an OBGYN nurse and the BMW dealer is across the street from the hospital where she pratically lives. Due to the number of cars I buy as a hobby I got my FL dealers license last year which is a huge advantage to you as that means I am bonded and insured in the very unlikely event that I sell you a car that is misrepresented. If damages are proven then the bond pays out the loss to you but we are not going to have that problem. I searched for three months to find her a left over 2011 so she could rack up a bunch of miles and not be high mileage compared to if she had gotten a 2012 car. Its true, this X5 was a BMW exec car that was driven from 6/11 to roughly 12/11 5k miles and then auctioned to a BMW dealer who sold it to me. Never smoked in, no damage or paint work. With a $68,800 sticker price this car includes all the goodies, here are the major ones, Deep Sea Blue with Oyster Interior (very rare very elegant) interior appears much lighter in the pics than in person it was very sunny that day. Heated Front Seats and Steering wheel (cold weather package) Retractable Headlight Washers Premium Package Adjustable Steering Column Power tailgate Ski Bag (rare its a hole in the back seats that accomodate the length of snow skis) Power Tailgate (adjustablet to drivers height) Universale garage door openers auto dimming interior and exterior lights auto dimming rearview mirror Lumbar support on driver and passenger seats Interior mirror with compass Ambience Lighting BMW Assist with Bluietooth Premium Sound Package Sat Radio one year free Ipod and USB adapter Rear view Camera with top View Park Distnace control front and rear Navigation BMW Teleservices with Bmw Apps for Smartphones Real time traffic info self leveling suspension Adaptive Drive (most important most expensve makes SUV keep level in major truns when car leans, what the sport package gives you less the giant loud wheels) Keyless Entry Side View Camera Heads up display (my favorite feature displays speed and other warnings on the winshield) Smartphoen integration Combox Controller Roof Rails Total: $68,025 the average X5 is 60-62 so when you see the ones that sell cheap more than likely they are stripped. After owning two there are options that I would not buy the car without. Needless to say this one has all the goodies, so what does it not have? No third row seat and no rear entertainment. The rear entertainment is mounted in middle and no one seems to like it, dealer installed headrests dvd's are available and are very inexpensive. Third row seat is very tight, its time for a bigger car when you need that. Most X5's do not have third row. So a loaded X5 that gets 19mpg in the city and 26 highway, well it gets better. I was always yelling at her about speeding on the side streets with the kids playing so a front and rear K40 radar with blue Led lights are mounted behind the glass in the dash. Radar is for the motorcycle cop in the school zone, the cameras that catch you running the red light etc, Laser is for the State police on the highway for the over 100 mile per hour sports cars. Dont think of this car as the diesel of the old days that was loud and stinky and blew black smoke, this one is as quiet as a gas motor and with the turbos has as much pep and torque as you need in an SUV. No paint work, car was inspected by three experts and two digital paint meters, no swirl marks in the paint, no dings, scratches. the only blemish is the front right wheel has a small blemish smaller than a dime. Nothing that the first valet parker or worst driver in the house would not have done. Like I said all maintenance is covered until 6/2017 that includes oil changes, brakes, windshield wipers, rotors, and most important the diesel oil that goes in the trunks that mixes with the fuel to make it get the fuel economy. X5 Diesels have done very well on the resale market due to the fuel economy and of course the maintenance. No other manufacturer offers the maintenance. the 100k maintenance is non refundable ($2500) and stays with the car through how ever many owners there are. 100k of oil chnages and brake jobs pays for itself plus all the other things you get also. This one is a really rare find, the warranty, the radar, the low mileage, and the options. If you live or drive through a state were radars are illegal this one is completley comcealed and has a remote to turn off the unit. I bought the car back in Feb, she never got it for vday and due to back surgery I have not had a chance to get around to selling it until now.
