1982 GMC Sierra 1500 6.2 Diesel with Banks Turbocharger, I am listing this truck for my dad. He bought it from the original owner that was retired and pulled a travel trailer with it. It was equipped with the Banks Turbocharger when he bought it, the original owner installed it. the injection pump eventually failed on the truck and it is set for about the last eight years. I spoke with the owner of a shop that repairs diesel injection pumps and he said that the worst enemy of the 6.2 pump is for it to sit for any length of time. He said that it would require a complete rebuild. The truck probably be started by spraying diesel and gas mixture into the engine intake if you want to hear it run. The engine, transmission and Banks Turbocharger are in good condition. I will list the pictures that I took last week it with this ad and a link to see the current condition of the truck. I know that there is probably some interest in just the banks turbocharger alone possibly the motor and the transmission so if you're interested in those parts let me know and maybe we can work something out.
